Timbaland is helping Brandy reinvent herself

Music producer Timbaland is helping 90's R&B singing sensation Brandy reinvent her image. Brandy recently unveiled her hip hop alter ego Bran' Nu during a concert with Timbaland in Miami on Sunday at his album release party. Bran'Nu appears on the Timbaland cut "Meet In Tha Middle" off his new album Shock Value II. Their professional relationship is not new. Timbaland produced several tracks off her 2004 album Afrodisiac. This time around, he saw some videos Brandy posted on YouTube of her rapping and invited her to join him on his album. After working together in the studio, Timbaland rechristened her Bran'Nue and floated the idea of signing her to his label. Brandy told MTV, "He really just allowed me to be as free as I wanted to be," she said. "I wrote my own verses, just anything I did I wrote myself. And it was a great experience...It feels like this is what I'm supposed to do."

Tiger is taking a leave

Two weeks after allegations of extramarital affairs hit the papers and he crashed his SUV into a tree outside his home, Tiger Woods made a public statement. In his statement, he acknowledge his infidelity and announced he would be taking a leave of absence from golf to focus on his family. "After much soul searching, I have decided to take an indefinite break from professional golf,” Woods said Friday evening on his Web site. “I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father, and person.” At last count, the number of women claiming to have had affairs with Tiger Woods stood at 13. One of those alleged mistresses is a porn star who has made over 60 adult films. The mistress count does not include the claim of a Hollywood madam that she set Woods up with prostitutes totalling $60,000 over a two-year period and arranged rendezvous with as many as three call girls at a time for Woods.

Will Smith's daughter got Rihanna's haircut

Will and Jada Pinkett Smith's daughter Willow sported a Rihanna-inspired haircut Friday at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Norway. 9-year-old Willow appeared at the concert to introduce Chines pianist Lang Lang in Mandarin. If you are wondering what the Smith's were doing at the concert, you are not alone. I am supposing the trip was their reward for being such staunch supporters of the Obamas during last year's campaign. Now, Willow and her brother Jaden have appeared in a handful of movies, usually with their father Will, but sometimes alone. What do you all think: is it wrong for them to put their children out there like that?

Justin Timberlake regrets throwing Janet Jackson under the bus

Almost six years after the career-changing incident, Justin Timberlake apparently has regrets over the way he treated Janet Jackson in the wake of their 2004 Super Bowl scandal. The two were performing what was sure to be a showstopping routine during half time of the game when at the end of a song,Timberlake ripped open Jackson's shirt to reveal her naked breast covered by a pastie. Viewers had to be keen of eye to catch the momentary flash, but the fallout lasted for years.

Both Jackson and Timberlake apologized, with Jackson calling it a "wardrobe malfunction", however only Jackson's career seemed to suffer in its wake. Timberlake, for his part, denied knowing Jackson was topless, and distanced himself from her allowing the media and the public to draw conclusions she alone was responsible for the flash. Janet was left alone to deal with the fallout as she watched her album sales fall and her endorsements dry up. She retreated from the public eye, becoming a recluse and gaining quite a bit of weight. "Nipplegate" on CBS was seen by an estimated 140 million viewers and brought unprecidented complaints to the FCC and a huge fine for the network. Now, Timberlake says he's sorry. He told Entertainment Weekly he regrets his handling of the situation. “I wish I had supported Janet more. I am not sorry I apologized, but I wish I had been there more for Janet,” he said.

Personally, I used to be a JT fan. I loved his music and his style of dancing, but the way he treated Janet...really left a bad taste in my mouth. He came out of it with his career intact, but in my opinion he abandoned her like a coward. He was the one who actually ripped her shirt, not her. He humiliated and exposed a Black woman on international television. Why wasn't it considered assault? How can you blame someone for someone else ripping their clothes off? I never understood that. Even if they had planned it, they should have stood together to take the heat. Instead, he took the easy way out. I never forgave him for it and never bought anything else he did. He lost a fan in me back in 2004. How did you feel about it? Do you think he's being sincere now?

Chris Brown rates the ladies

Chris Brown stopped by the Funkmaster Flex radio show on for a chat. While he was there, the hosts asked Chris for his opinions on several women in the business today, including Amerie, Nicki Minaj, Beyonce, Amber Rose, and Keri Hilson. I thought the question was rude and his answers will come back to haunt him. Peep what he had to say.

What Were They Thinking Award? goes to....The New York Times

Of Color/Stylish Gifts section: you can check it out here if you need the assistance:

A new addition to the NY Times Holiday Gift Guide has caused a minor uproar after some blogs have described it as 'racist'. A section of this year's guide published in November, includes an 'Of Color/Stylish Gifts' page. The first time feature is described by the Times as "gifts created for and by people of color". Critics and media watchdogs have pounced on the paper for publication of a gift recommendation list for non-whites.

The section includes: The Mocha Guide to Military Life, Wise Latina t-shirts, a 'good hair' section and 'Baby Jamz' created by Beyonce and her father described as an 'interactive hip-hop and rhythm-based toy line'.

Now they need to add to that list a place where I can get me a case of orange Nehi, a bucket of cleaned chitlin's, some bean pies, a rum cake, a Tiger Woods holiday dispute shatterproof helmet, some good pastelas and a mail order place so I can send my dad a new Kangol...if you have anything else to add feel free...

Marion Jones makes history yet again

The International Olympic Committee on Wednesday reallocated two individual medals stripped from Marion Jones for doping but, in an unprecedented move, withheld her 100-meter prize from Greek sprinter Katerina Thanou because of her "disgraceful" behavior in evading drug tests.
The decision means the first two runners across the line in Sydney have both been denied the winner's medal for doping violations, and the gold in sprinting's marquee event will remain without an owner.

Chad Ochocinco = Chad X

Controversial NFL player Chad Ocho Cinco is contemplating yet another name change. He had previously legally changed his name from Chad Johnson to Chad Ocho Cinco. While his current name has a bit of a latin flair, this time he went transpacific to the Land of the Rising Sun for his new name. Ocho Cinco announced on his UStream channel Sunday before the Detroit Lions game, his new name will be "Hachi Go," which is Japanese for "Eight Five." Chad decided on the name after a Japanese film crew in town for a special on the Bengals encouraged him to adopt the Japanese version of his surname. Being perpetually thirsty for attention and an all around prankster, Chad went for it. Frankly, I think he should just change his name to Chad X and be done with it.

Rihanna got an inspirational tatt

The photo is courtesy of OK! Magazine. (obviously)

Trendsetter and pop princess Rihanna is now looking to herself for inspiration in the form of a tattoo. Rihanna visited East Side Ink in NYC Monday night to get a very special tatt to remind her of her personal motto. Now every time she looks in the mirror, she will see "Never a failure, always a lesson" tattooed in grey ink just below her right clavicle. She had the motto written in backwards script so she could read it as she primps.

Would you want to see how Tiger's swinging?

Can you believe he kissed his baby with those lips?

Life & Style Magazine issued a press release claiming there may be nude pictures of Tiger Woods out there:

Playgirl’s representative Daniel Nardicio confirmed to Life & Style that the online branch of Playgirl Magazine has received photos claiming to be Tiger Woods in the buff. “We’re currently trying to authenticate the photos before we make any decisions on purchasing the Tiger Woods pics and ascertaining the value,” Nardicio told Life & Style.

Once they authenticate, prepare for Tiger's reputation to speed up its swirl down the drain.

Tiger Woods must be hemorrhaging money

Tiger Woods must be hemorrhaging money now that many of his sponsors have pulled his prime time ads. Since June, Woods has appeared in 15 different product spots that aired regularly during prime time evening television, but they have all disappeared. His last spot was a November 29th commercial for Gillette razors. This is bad news for Woods who is easily the most recognized sports figure in this country and possibly in the world; according to Bloomberg polling 86% of U.S. consumers over the age of six years old recognized Tiger Woods. Maybe his wife can get an endorsement spot for Safelite Auto Glass.

Is Janet using the rumored Colin Farrell swirl to reprieve Dupri?

Janet and actor Colin Farrell were on couple watch after they were spotted at an “intimate lunch” a couple of weeks ago. They were seen sitting side by side in a booth at the renowned Polo Lounge located in the Beverly Hills Hotel, according to "Entertainment Tonight". Although Farrell just had a child with his girlfriend,Alicja Bachleda (i can't say it either) eight weeks ago , is Janet trying to get JD jealous and get back with him?

What's that on the fan?!

A Tiger Woods branded Gatorade drink is being dumped, but the company involved denies it is due to Woods' alleged affairs. Pepsico Inc. is dropping sports drink named after Woods from its lineup, but the move is due to sales and not connected with the storm of publicity over the golfer's car accident and revelations of alleged extramarital affairs.

The sports drink, called Gatorade Tiger Focus, is being dropped as part of a broader overhaul of the Gatorade brand, whose sales have slipped this year, according to beverage industry publication Beverage Digest. In fact, no commercials at all have run with Tiger Woods in them since a Gillette ad on November 29th.

Meanwhile, you already know Tiger's mother-in-law fell out at the crib yesterday morning when she found out her daughter was going to leave a billionaire and move back to Sweeden.

Drake and Sade Collabo in the Works?

Rap newcomer Drake has high hopes for a planned collaboration with 80's soul great Sade after revealing he's making good progress in negotiations with the reclusive star. Drake's debut album has become one of hip-hop's most anticipated releases for 2010 following the star's double Grammy nod for his hit single Best I Ever Had.

The rapper recently confessed he is eyeing a rare duet with Sade, telling MTV News, "I had a wish list for my managers of everybody I wanted involved (in the album) that stem beyond hip-hop. I'm trying to pull it all together. I'm really trying to work with Sade."

The Smooth Operator singer is preparing to release her first album in 10 years on St. Valentine's Day and Drake admits his dream of a collaboration is slowly turning into a reality.Drake insists the duet will only go ahead if the song is perfect for both artists and if it's anything like "Best" he don't have a chance.

You can listen to Sade's 'Soldier of Love' single HERE.

Elin has left the mansion

They say Tony the Tiger is fixin' to change his name...

Tiger Woods’ wife, Elin Woods, has reportedly moved out of the couple’s Florida home and is living with friends nearby, according to Radar Online.

But good Woods source broke it down today when he said, ‘‘Elin has been taking a bit of a break, but Tiger and his team are still hopeful she won’t leave permanently.”

Meanwhile, even though Woods’ lifelong best pal Bryon Bell and his fiancee still want the scandal-plagued golfer to be best man for their South Carolina wedding next weekend, we're hearing Woods is hesitant — worried the couple’s big day will be overshadowed by the media maelstrom that you know will swarm all over that ceremony.

Wild Safari adds: As of 10pm last night, the number of women claiming to have had affairs with Tiger Woods stood at 10. It's a wonder he had time to practice his swing--his golf swing, that is.

Original master to Michael Jackson's "Thriller" to be auctioned

The original master test proof recording of Michael Jackson's hit song 'Thriller' will go under the hammer at a Bonhams Auction on December 20th. The recording is expected to fetch USD $4,000-6,000. The acetate disc features the title song from the Thriller album along with the instrumental version. The record was used by Grammy-winning master recording engineer Bruce Swedien to check the sound quality before Jackson released the single version of his hit song in January 1984. The record has only been played once. The album is being sold to benefit scholarships for students at California State University Summer Arts. Other items up for sale include a T-shirt Michael wore in the 'Beat It' video (estimate sale price USD $10,000-12,000) and a collectible item (estimate: USD $500-700).

Lawmaker says "RedNeck Rap" wasn't racist

Kansas Rep. Bill Otto apologized for offending anyone by criticizing President Barack Obama while wearing a cap that calls opossum "the other dark meat." Otto said during a meeting with the NAACP on Saturday that he had "absolutely no thought of anything racial" in his online video, "RedNeck Rap." Otto still stands by his criticism of the Obama administrations decision to bring Guantanamo Bay prisoners to the U.S. and the economic bailouts. Rep. Otto says his cap refers to his roots and "The Beverly Hillbillies" television family that dined on opossum. His intended message is that anyone can see Congress' failings. The NAACP demanded an apology after the video was posted in September. In a sequel, Otto offers some praise to Obama.

S. Africa says no; they want JHud to go

South African actors want to stop Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson from playing former South African President Nelson Mandela's wife Winnie Madikizela-Mandela in a new film. Members of the film union say casting a foreigner in such a large role undermines efforts to develop the national fim industry. The film will be directed by South African film-maker Darrell J. Roodt, whose films include "Cry, The Beloved Country" and "Sarafina."

Winnie Madikizela-Mandela continued her husband's political activism during his 27-year stint as a political prisoner and campaigned tirelessly for his release. She separated from Nelson Mandela in 1992, two years after his release from prison. Her image was tarnished by a series of scandals including her links to the kidnap and murder of a young activist and a 2003 conviction for fraud.

Michael Jackson "Little Christmas Tree"

SNL's obligatory Tiger Woods skit

Was SNL insensitive for running this skit with Rihanna as musical guest?

Does Disney know about this?

Rihanna is seen here on set with a Mickey Mouse helmet, a bullet bra covering her itty bitties, and some shorts even Daisy Duke would be embarassed to wear. Is this the new Army recruitment commercial? No, she got half-naked again for her new video "Hard." Of the video, Rihanna says “We got tanks, we got troops, helicopters, explosions, tight gear, lots of cute outfits, lots of bullets. Crazy!”

Well, I think Rihanna and her music would be more interesting to me without all the nudity and questionable situations. She has a few songs I really like, though I find all the constant thirst for media attention a bit irksom. I really think she has potential as a performer and long for her to develop her singing and performing skills. It would be nice to see her writing her own songs and maybe picking up a dance step or two. It is getting beyond old to just be served up sex on a platter without much substance. Is that a nipple I see in that gun pic? At least Madonna offered you the whole package steaming hot fresh every time she slutted it up. Come on Rihanna, I know you have it in you to do better than this!

Did you know the Pope rocks out to Tupac?

Katt detained at Wal-Mart

Police say they questioned comedian Katt Williams in connection with a disturbance call at an Atlanta area Walmart over the weekend. An asian family tried to purchase Williams after mistakenly believing he was one of those 'Zhu Zhu Pets'.

Police searched a tractor trailer belonging to Williams that was parked in the Walmart parking lot-apparantly they found firearms but Katt was released after being questioned.

Whitney Houston Hated Him

X-Factor contestant Danyl Johnson claims Whitney Houston "hated him" for singing one of her songs. Johnson says Whitney was brought in to coach the contestants on the hit British singing reality show. The contestants got to choose a song to sing on air and Johnson chose "I Didn't Know My Own Strength"; the song had yet to be released in the U.K. When asked which of the celebrity mentors was his least favorite Johnson said, "Whitney absolutely hated me." He added sarcastically, "She loved the fact I was singing a song she hadn't released yet...She was actually still quite nice but sort of didn't like the fact I was singing the song but there you go. That was the worst one. I was singing a song she hadn't released in the UK yet so she wasn't very happy."

The Rock's cousin died

Pro wrestler Eki "Umaga" Fatu died in Houston, TX of a heart attack on Friday. Fatu came from an illustrious line of Samoan pro wrestlers including his uncles, billed as the "Wild Samoans", and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Fatu, known for his bold facial tattoos, had his career peak in 2007 when he headlined Wrestlemania 23 in Detroit. His career took a rapid decline culminating in his release from his WWE contract in June of this year when he refused to enter rehab again for violating the federation's drug policy. Fatu is just the latest of an alarming number of pro wrestlers under the age of 40 who have died in the past decade. He was 36.

Three's a crowd and four well is just greedy...

Four!

Yet another blond was added to Tiger Woods' sultry score card Saturday - earning the married father of two a quadruple bogey with his supermodel wife.

Las Vegas cocktail waitress and model Jamie Jungers, 26, reportedly hired an Orlando lawyer and prepared to dish her story to a British tabloid, RadarOnline.com reports.

Jungers, a busty head turner whose physical features resemble the three alleged mistresses that precede her, was unavailable for comment yesterday, but updated her status on Myspace.com to say her mood was "anxious."

TMZ.com reports that Jungers started her affair with Woods in the golfer's suburban Orlando home in 2004 when she was just 20-years-old. She has allegedly retained Orlando lawyer Michael O'Quinn.

As the list of alleged mistresses grows a pattern begins to emerge: they are all cocktail waitresses.

Meanwhile, who knew Tiger Woods wife could play the sax like Maceo?
