The Aruh ain't swatting no flies

R. Kelly ain't even sweating that nonsense with Trey Songz and his diss song "The Death of Kells". "Elephants don't swat flies" is going in my book of quotes.

Both Juve and the Aruh have new music dropping today

After a three year hiatus from the hip-hop scene, New Orleans rapper and former Cash Money member, Juvenile, released his new album today. Cocky & Confident marks the ninth solo album for Juve, and the first one without his longtime producer Mannie Fresh. The production team instead includes Juve, himself. The 18 tracks include guest appearances by Shawty Lo and Bobby Valentino among others.


R. Kelly also dropped his new album Untitled today. His first single, "Number One" features up and comer Keri Hilson. Overall the album is stripped down compared to some of his older works, allowing guest spots by Robin Thicke, Tyrese, and the Dream to shine through. Kells is touring in support of his 10th studio album; recent stops in places like Washington DC and Chicago prove the fans still love the Aruh and his days of controversy are largely behind him.

The new song "Religious" is from his new album Unapologetic, Unforgiven,"Untitled".

I Believe I Can't Read

R&B singer/songwriter R. Kelly revealed that despite his musical talents, he suffers from illiteracy and barely made it through grade school. The Grammy winner recently spoke at the Midwest Music Festival in Chicago, about the trials and tribulations of starting his career.

"When I was trying to make it out here, I already knew, and I was stubborn about it," he said. "I don't even read really and I'm not afraid to say that. My cousins and brothers used to tease me 'you can't even read right. How you think you're going to come up?' The only reason I graduated from grammar school is because I had a great jump shot. I went to high school and [my teacher] told me 'you will one of the greatest writers of all time.' I believed. You [have to] believe it. You can't believe [anything] if you're hating. You can't achieve [anything] if you're hating."

R. Kelly Not Being Investigated

A Chicago Sun Times twitter discredits rumors from a media souce known for it's "fake outs". The police in Olympia Fields is NOT investigating the singer for the statutory rape of a 17 year old, which doesn't make sense since the age of consent in Illinois is 17.
