I went to see This Is It during the mid afternoon Thursday. There were not that many of us in the theater so I had my pick of seats. I was able to sing and do a little dancing without worrying about bothering anyone else. I was excited all day long thinking about going to the movies for one last time. I was on the edge of my seat anticipating each part as it came. The movie flew by this time, probably because I knew it would be my last time seeing it on the large screen. I felt myself becoming more and more emotional the closer we got to the finale. Tears started streaming down my face at the beginning of Man In The Mirror, then I started sobbing when Michael spread his arms at the end. I wanted to watch all the extras at the end (and I needed a minute to pull myself together), so I stayed until the house lights came on. I really couldn't even look at anyone else on my way out of the theater. Honestly, my grief felt fresh all over again. It was a bittersweet farewell on the three month anniversary of Michael's interment.

I never really thought of Tiger as sexy, but after this voicemail, I might just change my mind...ha!
Cater2U Lawsuit Settled
The “Bootylicious one” Beyonce Knowles, who notched 10 Grammy nominations this week, just had a tour cancellation she’s likely happy about.
Knowles and her group, Destiny’s Child, evaded what would have been an eight-day stint in Chicago’s federal courthouse by settling claims today that they ripped off the work of a Chicago singer and performer with their song: “Cater 2 U.”
“I can confirm that yes, it did settle,” said Matthew Wildermuth, the attorney for Rickey Allen, who filed a lawsuit against the group in 2006. The terms of the settlement are confidential.
“All of the issues have been amicably resolved and the case is going to be dismissed,” Wildermuth said. “[Allen is] excited about being able to devote time to posturing his musical career.”
The trial was to begin next week and would have forced the musical threesome to appear every day in court for a case that was likely to span more than a week.
Allen filed a lawsuit after the group in 2004 released “Cater 2 U” in a compilation called “Destiny Fulfilled.” He claimed they ripped off his song, with the same title and spelling, which he copyrighted.

Elf threatens mall Santa
Now you've got to darn near pack heat to go visit Santa. A grown man dressed as an elf showed up to take pictures with Santa at the Southlake Mall. As if that weren't alarming enough, when the man got up to Santa, he confessed he was strapped with dynamite. Santa called the mall cops who called the po-po. The mall was shut down and searched, but they did not find any explosives. William C. Caldwell of Morrow, Georgia, was arrested and charged with making terroristic threats and reckless conduct.

There's been much debate about how to handle overweight passengers on flights. While some airlines may charge for an extra seat, not all do — and now a flight attendant allegedly snapped a photo on an American Airlines flight and of course it has been leaked to the press.
While it's hard not to feel bad for the passenger, you have to take into account that he's a major safety hazard in an evacuation, a gross inconvenience for the cabin crew, and probably a totally unacceptable traveling companion for the poor guy next to him.
American Airlines did not comment except to say, "We cannot verify the authenticity of that photograph, nor do we know who might have taken the photo. But gotdamn, we would never operate a flight like that with anyone or anything blocking an aisle and not seated properly."

Kelis signs with Will.I.Am
After much speculation following the release of a song titled "Acapella" on the internet last week, singer-songwriter Kelis has announced that she has signed to Interscope Records through Will.i.am Music Group.
Her as-yet-untitled album features production from the Black Eyed Peas' Will.i.am as well as Free School, Boyz Noize, Burnz, DJ Ammo and David Guetta, who produced the above-mentioned retro-dance track.
Kelis' last label deal was with Jive Records, and she reportedly was dropped in late 2007.
Kelis released a statement saying,
“I love that I am now a new part of the Interscope family. 2010 is around the corner and I can't wait to put out new music and spend

...Prepare to die!
A North Carolina woman is recovering from bruises, scratches on her face, and a hoof print on her leg after being trampled by a herd of deer in the middle of downtown. The woman was headed to her jewelry store when a herd of deer came out of nowhere. One of the deer kicked her into the air, causing her to land on her head, then the others trampled her on their way from a protest march against the holiday re-release of Bambi.

These hands don't do dishes
You may have thought giant weves and long painted talons were the province of inner city America, but you were wrong. The Tokyo Nail Expo 2009 is one of the hottest shows in town and is a bigger draw than the Bronner Brothers Hair Show in Atlanta. Even with the sagging economy, the Japanese nail art business has grown to 200 million yen.
The annual exposition is a showcase for the latest trends in the the upscale world of nail design. It attracts women of all ages to a competition between professional nail artists seeking to display the most innovative and outlandish designs. Approximately 50,000 visitors descended upon the Japanese metropolis to attend the show this year to view the creation of whimsical designs, many of the 3-D and costing in the thousands of U.S. dollars.
I once worked with this woman who had wild nails like those above only hers were maybe twice as long. One day someone asked her how she tends to her hygiene with nails like that. (I wondered, too, but would never ask something so personal.) She told us she wraps the toilet paper around the nails and pats or something to that effect. Plus with nail art like that you don't want to wash your hands too often or they will weaken and peel. From then on I was perfectly nice to her, but never ever ever touched anything after she did. Never mind her a$$, can you imagine the state of her....?

Tiger violated rule #1 in the player handbook
Tiger Woods violated rule #1 in the player handbook: he left evidence.
Radaronline.com obtained what they claim to be text messages that Tiger sent to Jaimee Grubbs, a woman claiming to have had a 31 month affair with him:
“I will wear you out…when was the last time you got (bleeped)? Send me something very naughty…Go to the bathroom and take (a picture).”
Meanwhile, Rachel Uchitel, the first woman named as an alleged mistress for Tiger is planning a press conference today with her lawyer, Gloria Allred. The word is she will finally admit to having an affair with Woods.
If you have managed to keep the players straight so far, hold on--there is a third mistress in the mix now. Life & Style Magazine is now alleging Kalika Moquin is also dating Woods. Ms. Moquin is a marketing manager at a Las Vegas night club. When asked about her connection to Woods, Moquin neither denied nor confirmed they are dating saying, "It's not appropriate for me to comment one way or the other." Regardless, she doesn't count. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

Fans of Oceans Eleven and The Italian Job pay attention: this was a crime so well executed, it belongs right up there with those heist films. On July 10, 2009, a man walked into a WalMart store in Orange County, Florida, and within minutes walked out with over $200,000. The man walked into the store mid morning posing as a shopper. He put two boxes into his cart then attached a WalMart nametag to his shirt. Wearing his nametag he walked right past a legitimate employee at the customer service counter, through two sets of doors, and emptied the safe of its contents. He then calmly walked right back out the store with his two boxes full of enough cash to buy several houses in this economy. Time to complete the heist? Six minutes flat.

AI was just playin' y'all
Allen Iverson was just playin' y'all. He didn't really mean all that retirement talk. A week after announcing his retirement from the NBA and leaving the Grizzlies, AI is rejoining the first NBA team he every played for: the Philiadelphia 76ers. He starts Monday night in the game against the Denver Nuggets. The 76ers sought out Iverson after Lou Williams broke his jaw on November 24th.
During his previous tenure, Iverson led the 76ers to the 2001 NBA finals and won the MVP title that same year. He was let go from the team and traded to Denver after he refused to play the 4th quarter of a game against the Chicago Bulls in 2006.
"We felt Allen was the best available free agent guard to help us at this time," Sixers President Ed Stefanski said in a release. What he didn't mention is the 76ers are in the midst of a seven game losing streak.

The Florida Department Golfer Tiger Woods will be issued a careless driving citation for the crash outside his home last week, but he will not face criminal charges, the Florida Highway Patrol said Tuesday. Woods faces a $164 fine and four points on his license. Woods declined to speak with Highway Patrol officers on three separate occasions, instead simply providing his license, registration, and proof of insurance. Investigators said they had insufficient evidence to request medical records to to perform any further search warrants. Officials impounded Woods' car and interviewed his neighbors. The neighbors who made the 911 call are now saying they did not see his wife chasing the car with a gold club and did not witness any evidence of domestic violence that night.
Golfer Tiger Woods issued an apology today for "transgressions" that let his family down.
"I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves," he said in a statement on his official Web site.
"I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone."

Got Beckies coming out the woodwork now...
Just days after the report about Tiger Woods having an affair with VIP hostess, Rachel Uchitel, another woman has stepped forward and claimed to have had a 31-month sexual relationship with Tiger, only this one has proof.
While Uchitel has denied the affair from the beginning, Jamiee Grubbs from VH1's 'Tool Academy' has text messages and voicemails from the world's greatest golfer implicating him that US Weekly will supposedly release on Wednesday. Apparently, Mrs. Woods intercepted one of those incoming texts late on Thanksgiving.
But it still ain't ova, Radar Online reports "several other women" are coming forward to claim they had sexual affairs with Tiger Woods, but the online mag explains it has no names and has not seen or listened to any evidence; but has also exclusively learned that ANOTHER woman has voice mails from Tiger and is in talks with a national outlet to reveal her sexual affair with the golfing great.
In other news, the Florida Highway Patrol will give Tiger a $160 ticket for reckless driving in your driveway with no shoes on

Both Juve and the Aruh have new music dropping today
After a three year hiatus from the hip-hop scene, New Orleans rapper and former Cash Money member, Juvenile, released his new album today. Cocky & Confident marks the ninth solo album for Juve, and the first one without his longtime producer Mannie Fresh. The production team instead includes Juve, himself. The 18 tracks include guest appearances by Shawty Lo and Bobby Valentino among others.
R. Kelly also dropped his new album Untitled today. His first single, "Number One" features up and comer Keri Hilson. Overall the album is stripped down compared to some of his older works, allowing guest spots by Robin Thicke, Tyrese, and the Dream to shine through. Kells is touring in support of his 10th studio album; recent stops in places like Washington DC and Chicago prove the fans still love the Aruh and his days of controversy are largely behind him.

NBA: No Bi*ches Allowed
You'll never hear a negative word said about Dwight Howard by his baby mama ... because according to a judge, she's not even allowed to speak his name.
According to documents filed in Florida, the Orlando Magic superstar went to war in October with Royce Lyndsay Reed -- the mother of his 2-year-old son -- after she allegedly called him a deadbeat dad on her blog, Twitter and even during an ESPN interview.
Dwight also alleges Royce "is attempting to become a celebrity" from being his baby mama ... even agreeing to "participate in a VH1 television show called 'NBA Wives.'" Dwight ended up winning a permanent injunction against Royce -- and according to the documents, she's banned from "using or publishing (orally, in writing, or otherwise), directly, indirectly or by innuendo, [Dwight's] name, nicknames, image, brand photographs, and/or likeness." That finely manicured line of lawyerspeak makes it damn near impossible for Royce to appear on "Wives/Jumpoffs/BB Mamas".

TP gets sued by the 'Goodness of Jesus'
Tyler Perry has gotten into some hot water regarding some song lyrics featured in his 2009 movie, Madea Goes to Jail. No credit or payment was made for the lyrics used in a monologue by Perry’s Madea referencing her deliverance from a jail sentence and leniency for repetitive criminal conduct, in a staged court proceeding presided over by 'Judge Mabeline.' James’ estate is seeking

Joe has left the building
Trey Songz had a birthday party the other day where he invited jumpoff Tahiry and didn't invite, R&B singer Joe. Joe decided to show love anyway, but a fight broke out between the two's camps over VIP space.
According to the YBF:
"R&B singer Joe came through Lounge 501 (in Montclair,NJ) last night, but wasn’t a booked act. So naturally the club tried to accommodate him. Here’s the underlying drama, Joe was seated in Trey Songz section.
Now Trey arrives and although everything appeared to be cool, Trey wasn’t that excited about Joe taking up his space. No one wanted to do the awkward “you have to move because this is Trey’s section” talk with Joe, and sources say Trigga (Trey for you slow ones) and his folks were “side-eyeing” Joe and his people, and they didn’t like that too much, and that’s when things got a little hectic.
Joe’s people decided to get buck with Trey’s folks and a little tussle began. Sources say by the look of things Joe’s crusty ass and his people were not very victorious in the matter. As they were being escorted out the club by Trey’s security, they looked like some sad ass puppies. So at the end of the day Trey and his folks enjoyed the rest of the night and went home without a scratch on them, but as for Joe and his folks, I bet they won’t try to jump buck again."

GiantLife.com is the new focus, where they will feature celebrity profiles, coverage of cultural events and special features of emerging talent in the African American community

Now former NBA star Latrell Sprewell is facing foreclosure on his $5.4 million mansion in Westchester County, New York. Sprewell, 39, bought the 3.3 acre property in Purchase, New York in January of 2000 for $2.3 million. Four years later, he took out a 30-year mortgage with Washington Mutual for $1,612,000. He began missing payments last year according to court records. The home is due to be auctioned off January 7th at the Westchester County Courthouse so if you are still kicking yourself about missing the Michael Jackson auction and have a spare million or two sitting around, check it out. Tiger Woods released a statement
"As you all know, I had a single-car accident earlier this week, and sustained
some injuries. I have some cuts, bruising and right now I’m pretty sore.
This
situation is my fault, and it’s obviously embarrassing to my family and me. I’m
human and I’m not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn’t happen
again.
This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way. Although I
understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors
that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible.
The
only person responsible for the accident is me. My wife, Elin, acted
courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to
help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false.
This incident has been
stressful and very difficult for Elin, our family and me. I appreciate all the
concern and well wishes that we have received. But, I would also ask for some
understanding that my family and I deserve some privacy no matter how intrusive
some people can be. "
Let's discuss some of those rumors shall we? There are a number of theories as to what happened to cause Tiger to lose control of his SUV and plow into a tree on his neighbor's property.
1. Tiger and his wife Elin got into a heated argument about the rumors of his alleged affair with New York restaurant hostess, Rachel Uchitel. The National Enquirer reported days before Tiger took this woman to Australia and has been romancing her. Elin wasn't having that and scratched up his face and chased him out of the house with a golf club. As Tiger was trying to drive away, she smashed in the back windows of the Escalade, distracting him and causing him to lose control of the car. The neighbors came out and called 911 while he was unconscious and bleeding on the ground.
2. Similar to #1 except she managed to bust his head to the white meat before he left the house. The blow upside his head disoriented him and caused him to crash.
3. Woods was leaving his home at approximately 2:22am for completely innocent reasons. For unexplained reasons, as he was backing out, he managed to clip a fire hydrant and run into a tree on his neighbor's property. The crash was low speed and therefore did not cause the air bags to deploy. His neighbors and his wife heard the commotion and ran outside. His neighbors called 911 as he lay bleeding on the ground next to his Escalade. His wife ran back inside to retrieve one of his prized golf clubs which just happened to be handy. She used the club to break out both rear windows of the caddy since she couldn't get his driver's door open. [They don't quite have the timing right on this yet, hence their stalling of the highway patrol. Also, they don't explain how Elin managed to hoist herself up through the rear windows of the car without getting a single scratch on her from the broken glass, tree limbs, etc, climb through the car, open his door, and drag his big ass out. Also, why were the neighbors just standing there? Wasn't there a man there who could have helped her?]
Yesterday, Tiger refused to speak with law enforcement investigators for a third straight day. They have now begun interviewing his neighbors and anyone else who might have information about the accident. For her part, the rumored 'other woman', Rachel Uchitel, denies there was any affair. Still, she has flown to California and retained barracuda lawyer Gloria Allred as her counsel in the matter. All that remains is to see who offers the bigger payday, Tiger's people or the tabloids.
Since when do you get to decide when you want to speak with police about an accident involving damage to city and personal property and injury to person? I wish every last one of you safe travels, but let one of you get into an accident today. Tell the responding officers it just isn't a convenient time to discuss the accident and that you need your 'privacy' and see how far that'll get ya. Let me know 'kay?
AI is calling it quits
Word is NBA superstar Allen Iverson is planning on retiring after 13 seasons. Sources say Iverson wants to move on from basketball and spend more time with his wife and family. Iverson's recent parting with the Grizzlies on bad terms wouldn't have anything to do with it would it?
JLo's ex-husband is suing her for blocking
Jennifer Lopez's ex-husband, Ojani Noa, is planning to file a $100 million lawsuit against her for interfering in his business plans. Ojani was trying to produce a film using an 11-hour-long tape they made on their honeymoon, but her lawyers got a judge to issue a temporary restraining order which blocked Ojani from showing any parts of the tape to the public.
Ojani is also suing JLo’s father and lawyer for interfering with his project and for partaking in “fraudulent activity”. Ojani’s lawyer claims that JLo’s mother sold a part of the tape to Univision without his permission. Why does her mama have her sex tape??? Ojani’s lawyer said, “I believe that I have an unalienable First Amendment right to enter the JLo home videos into the public court record, so as to defend myself. If Judge Chalfant has a problem with this, he can have me hauled out of the courtroom in handcuffs in front of the world media.” The courts will further entertain the matter tomorrow.
The police released Tiger Woods' 911 tapes
Authorities released the 911 tapes from Tiger Woods' accident last week. The tapes involve one of Woods' neighbors calling dispatchers to report he is unconscious and bleeding in the street next to his Escalade. The neighbors' phone connection faded out midway through so all you hear is dispatchers speaking with each other. What you don't hear is Woods or his wife Elin. So many questions remain.
Serena fined 10 weeks later...
Serena Williams has been fined a record $82,500 for her tirade at this year's US Open and could be suspended from the tournament if she commits another "major offence" in the next two years, according to Associated Press.
Though she avoided a grand slam tournament ban, USTA administrator Bill Babcock told the AP today that the world's number one female tennis player faces a "probationary period" at grand slam tournaments in 2010 and 2011.
If Williams has another incident at a major championship in that time, the fine would increase to $175,000 and she would be barred from the following US Open. The previous largest fine was $48,000.
During the third set of Williams' semi-final defeat to Kim Clijsters at Flushing Meadows this year the American
