UT OH...Lil Wayne detained in Texas after marijuana found on tour buses

Rapper Lil Wayne was detained by U.S. Border Patrol agents in Texas on Friday after authorities found marijuana on two of his tour buses.

The marijuana on the buses was detected by drug dogs, said Agent Joe Trevino. The rapper, whose real name is DeWayne Michael Carter, Jr., was among a dozen being detained from his group.

Trevino said the buses were en route to Laredo, Texas, from a concert stop in Hidalgo state. No drugs were found on Wayne's person ... or anyone else in the entourage and no arrests have been made.

Calls to Carter's representatives were not immediately returned Friday.

The Louisiana native was the 2008 best-selling artist, with 2.8 million records sold, and is signed to Cash Money Records.

The rapper is scheduled to begin a prison sentence in February stemming from gun charges in New York.

Beyonce Knowles' mother, Tina Knowles began divorce proceedings in Houston on November 11th from her husband of 29 years, Matthew Knowles. The divorce filing comes on the heels of a paternity suit filed last month by Alexsandra Wright. Wright claims Matthew is the father of her unborn child.

Mrs. Knowles claims the split is amicable with the couple remaining friendly and asks the media and public respect their privady.

John Edwards...YOU ARE THE FATHER...

John Edwards has never admitted to fathering a love child with a one-time staffer, but new legal documents suggest the failed presidential hopeful is the baby's daddy -and may soon have to pay up big-time.

The new documents posted yesterday by radaronline.com detail an ongoing money battle between Edwards and Rielle Hunter, 45, whom Edwards has admitted bedding even as his wife, Elizabeth, discovered she had cancer.

Edwards has never copped to fathering little Frances Quinn Hunter, now almost two years old.

Hunter is seeking more than $17,000 a month from Edwards, a tab that includes some pretty high-end demands, the documents show.

She wants $800 a month for eating out, $400 a month for "club dues and memberships" and $1,200 a month for a security guard - apparently to keep the paparazzi at bay.

She also believes Edwards - who famously paid $400 for a haircut during his presidential run - should pay her $250 a month to trim her and Frances' locks.

The documents emerged at the same time that reports have swirled that Edwards purchased a four-bedroom, $535,000 home for Hunter to live in in Charlotte.

Surprise, Surprise...Tiger's Daddy Cheated too...

Now we know where Tiger learned how to swing.

More than a decade before Woods was outed as a serial philanderer, his beloved father was caught cheating on his mom, the golfer's high school girlfriend told E! News.

The revelation left a teenage Tiger devastated.

"He would just call crying and say, 'My dad is with another woman,' and that would be really all he could say," said Dina Parr, 34.
"He would be so upset, so I just tried to be there for him and listen to him."

This is proof that Tiger, his boy Chuck and Air Whore-dan played 'rent-a-becky' as Sir Charles poses with one of the Tiger 16 (as of today), Jamie Jungers.

Meanwhile, Elin has hired celebrity attorney Sorrell Trope and remember the California crib? Guess where Elin is relocating, has a lunch date with Shaunie O'Neal and circumventing the pre-nup for up to $500 million in no-fault money?

Nobody reads Publisher's Weekly

But it's latest cover has given the blogoshere a coronary. Its latest issue features a cover story on African-American books and illustrates the article with a photograph of a black woman whose hair is full of Afro picks, left, all of them molded to look like closed fists giving a black-power salute. Before you could say 'right click', the magazine heard from readers and industry insiders who called the image offensive.

In a post on PublishersWeekly.com, Calvin Reid, the magazine’s senior news editor, wrote that the photograph, titled “Pickin’ ” and taken by Lauren Kelley, came from the new book “Posing Beauty: African American Images From the 1890s to the Present” by Deborah Willis. Mr. Reid wrote, “To me it is a sweet, tongue-in-cheek funny and striking image of quirky black hair power.” He added, “I certainly regret offending anyone and while I still love that image, I intend to think long and hard about whatever image is chosen for next year’s cover.”

Whites will no longer be the majority

The U.S. Census has predicted whites will no longer be the majority in the United States of America by 2050 based upon rates of birth, death, and immigration. The U.S. population is currently 308 million; two-thirds of those are non-Hispanic whites. By 2050, the total population should climb to 399 million, under the new projection, with whites making up 49.9 percent of the population. Blacks will make up 12.2 percent, which is the same or slightly lower than today's percentage. Hispanics, currently 15 percent of the population, will rise to 28 percent in 2050. Asians are expected to increase from 4.4 percent of the population to 6 percent. Figures for Native Americans were not available.

“He might roll Bolt in the 100,” Crowder said. “Y’all don’t know how fast that boy is. He is fast, fast, fast. Flat-out FAST—capital letters.”

Usain Bolt in running to be Time's Person of the Year

The world's fastest man, Jamaica's Usain Bolt, is a runner-up for Time Magazine's Person of the Year 2009. The 6'5" 212 lb sprinter wowed when he broke the 100 meter and 200 meter world records at the 2009 Beijing Olympics. In Berlin, the site where Jesse Owens humiliated the Nazis in the 1936 Olympics, Germans sang Happy Birthday to Bolt. Since then, the world has been captivated with the golden shod, fleet footed phenomenon. He is known for his victory pose to the world, feet planted shoulder's width, one hand pulling back an imaginary bow, the other pointed at the heavens. The sky's the limit for Bolt's success. Congrats.

White Folks with Black Folks Problems...

Child protective services allegedly visited Tiger Woods home on Saturday after a complaint was issued, and spent about an hour at the Woods home. The Florida Department of Children and Families insist that the visit was just an inquiry into a complaint, and was not a formal investigation, according to a gossip website.

Typically, investigators from DCF would want to evaluate the safety of a home for children after a domestic violence incident. Also, you can't tell DCF when they come to your door you'll talk to them next Thursday if you feel like it.

Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren have two children, Sam Alexis Woods born in 2007, and Charlie Axel Woods born in February.

This news comes as rumors of a possible divorce between Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren arise. LA Late and Radar Online reported Sunday morning that Elin has already visited a divorce attorney. Radar Online reports that Elin plans to stay through the holidays, but will move home to Sweden shortly after that. The Associated Press reported Friday that Elin recently purchased a house on Faglaro Island, Sweden.

Meanwhile, Tiger finally got kicked out the crib. Where's he going to stay? On his yacht PRIVACY docked on Palm Beach.

Exclusive: Police are quietly building a case against the Woods

Planet Jackson Worldwide News has learned exclusively from inside sources that complaints against Tiger Woods and his wife came from officers responding to the scene of the crash. According to our source, when officers finally questioned Woods and his wife, Elin, their stories did not match up and Nordegren changed her story about the sequence of events repeatedly. This raised suspicions of domestic abuse prompting a call to Child Protective Services.

According to our source, outside investigators were brought in from surrounding counties to avoid a conflict of interest and the investigation is ongoing. The Woods' planned departure to a secluded island in Sweden will not preclude their obligation to co-operate with the investigation into the welfare of the children.

Contrary to published reports in the mainstream media, the police are not buying Tiger's story about what happened and he is going to have to answer for more than his infidelity. Woods remains holed up on his massive yacht moored off the shores of North Palm Beach, Florida. The yacht is ironically names, "Privacy."

Angelina Jolie criticizes the Obama administration

Angelina Jolie, a staple on OTHER gossip websites, recently criticized the Obama administration in an editorial for Newsweek Magazine. "Their policy, though, raises a number of questions," the top box office star wrote. "How is the Obama administration's approach to Sudan an evolution of justice? In addition, when the administration says it intends to work to 'improve the lives of the people of Darfur,' I would like to know what that means, besides the obvious point that their lives could hardly get worse."

Now, I was sucking my teeth and thinking she should sweep outside her own door and explore her relationship issues before I read it was about Darfur. The problems in the Sudan, South Africa, Kenya, and other places really touch my heart. I think there is always more we can do. I admire her for doing the unpopular thing by speaking up in an attempt to spur the President to re-examine his timetable for addressing the problems of the developing world.

Halle Berry unlocks memories of abuse

Dressed in old jeans, wearing little make-up and holding a dripping paint brush, Halle Berry was almost unrecognizable as the luminescent Bond girl who became the first black star to win an Oscar for best actress.

Yet, standing in the hallway at a battered woman’s shelter, cracking jokes with wary children, Berry said this was where she belonged — exorcising the ghosts of violent men who haunt the star of Die Another Day and X-Men.

The 43-year-old actress has been a low-key volunteer on the night shift at the Jenesse centre in Los Angeles for years but has only now chosen to reveal this part of her life, discussing for the first time how her father beat her mother and how she escaped her own abusive relationships.

She hopes the publicity will help the six shelters run by Jenesse overcome the financial stresses of the economic downturn. In the past Berry has refused to talk about the beatings meted out to her mother by her father, Jerome Jesse Berry, who left her family in Cleveland, Ohio, when she was four. But she has said a boyfriend Wesley Snipes once hit her so hard she is still largely deaf in her left ear.

Mo' Mashonda/Swizz/AK Twitter Beef

Right when you thought that the Swizz Beatz/ Mashonda drama had come to a halt, Mashonda makes it quite known that she is not done with it just yet.

The Hip-Hop/R&B world was left with their jaws to the ground when news got out that Alicia Keys just might be a home-wrecker.

Mashonda – Swizz Beatz soon-to-be-ex-wife – had been putting in overtime making sure the public knows all the details of her fury, which all points to her being done dirty by Swizz Beatz who allegedly carried on a relationship with Alicia while he was still legally married to Mashonda.

Now,Swizz makes it no secret that he is in a new relationship with Alicia and is blissfully happy. Mashonda has done radio interviews and typed a 3,000 character letter to Alicia after the “No One” singer boasted about her love for Swizz on the social networking site; but nothing compares to the newest installment of the drama.

Fri. night, while Swizz was sending love and free promotion for his new “boo's” forthcoming album, The Elements of Freedom, Mashonda decided to take the time out to set the record straight, again.

After receiving much flack from some of his followers and the general public, Swizz Beatz went on a twitter rant that went a little something like this:

"All people want to talk about is my divorce. Wow! F**k what they say or said. I’m a good man but when it’s time to move on, it’s just time! I’m also a great f***ing Dad but nobody give a s**t! People talking about I cheated. How the f**k can I cheat when I was separated, ass holes? It’s been damn near 2 years."

Mashonda, who was not too fond of Swizz’s words, retaliated by saying:

"Here’s the bottom line, you were married when you started your affair, you’re married now. And both of you knew what it was. Separation came after the fact. Now peps, this is why it’s important to keep God 1st! I’m not gonna battle my son’s father on twitter about his mistress. Ya’ll WON! But just know! I never lied and NEVER will. Thank God we are doing this before 2010. My new year will not involve this scandal. That’s all folks."

This is probably not the most ideal situation that Alicia may want to be in, but her plan to stay as quiet as possible about the situation is probably the wisest. With a new album coming out in 3 days, the best thing for Alicia Keys to do is watch from the sidelines, quietly.

'Princess and the Frog' #1 at the box office

'The Princess and the Frog' had no trouble snatching the crown at theaters this weekend, coasting to the top spot at the box office as family films flexed their holiday muscle. The Disney fairy tale earned $25 million, according to studio estimates from Nielsen EDI, almost $10 million more than the closest competitor.

The film, a twist on a Brothers Grimm tale about a woman turned into a frog after a kiss, enjoyed the highest debut for an animated movie released in December. The film also drew a surprising number of unaccompanied adults. Nearly one in five moviegoers came to the theater without children, according to Disney exit polling.

"That's the number that's sweetest," Disney's Chuck Viane says. "We knew families were going to come. But we didn't know about the adults without kids. That was going to depend on reviews." About 83% of the nation's critics recommended the movie, according to RottenTomatoes.com.

"You can do your movie in 2-D, 3-D," Viane says. "But it's not going to save you without a good story. Especially when you're talking about kids and family films. They depend on word of mouth." And families have been talking. The Blind Side, the Sandra Bullock football film, took second place with $15.5 million. The fact-based film has earned $150.2 million.

Hidden Michael Jackson music found in SEGA video game

True Michael Jackson fans have known about this soundtrack since he did it. It is said Michael has hundreds of songs and dozens of unreleased music videos in the SONY vault and at his home. Many of them are said to be saved on the computer hard drive removed from his home on the day of his death by his sister LaToya Jackson. Let us pray she doesn't damage or destroy those songs before the world gets to hear them.

RHOA Without Kim and Nene?

Gatecrasher reports that the producers of RHOA have been hitting check cashing places, welfare offices, Undergound Atlanta, strip club dumpsters and the bottom of broke down wigs for two lovely ladies to replace Kim and Nene.

According to a source, NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak are demanding more money to appear on the show than Bravo cares to dish out — and producers are so fed up with their diva-esque requests, they're quietly making plans to move on without the two.

While a final decision hasn't been made, one Atlanta lady who viewers won't be seeing on the show is Tameka Foster Raymond, better known as Usher's ex-wife.

"Tameka isn't very popular in Atlanta," says the source, who reveals that the 39-year-old was initially in the running. "The producers asked each one of the women how they would feel if she were cast, and they all said that they'd walk. That's the one thing they've been united about." But is that decision up to the cast or the producers?

Chat about "The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty" Premiere

"The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty" reality tv show premiered last night on A & E. I did a live chat with a few people. Here is an excerpt of my comments on the show:

The show began with all 4 brothers (Randy refuses to participate) talking about their family and the show. It opened with Michael's singing in the Jackson 5, so I already had a tear in my eye. They showed a lot of old pictures of them when they were children. They were all very handsome boys!

The show quickly devolved into a bit of showboating. Jermaine wanted to address jealousy issues. In doing so he made a remark about Michael's success being due to the Jackson 5 so how could they be jealous of him? He spoke as if there were no Jackson 5 there would have been no Michael. I just sucked my teeth at the tv. MJ's success was because of MJ. Yes, he started out with his brothers, but it was apparent from DAY 1 he was the star of the show. He went on to be a supernova.

"I am so anxious about them showing the golden casket. I don't think I can take it."

"Tito's sons are cute! That next generation is really going to get a leg up by being on this show. I know T3 is already big in Europe thanks to Michael's help and guidance, but they are largely unknown in the States. I hope that changes for them, if that's what they want."

"Jermaine is trying to take over and make decisions for the group, but I don't think Jermaine is the leader here. He wants to be, but didn't you catch that little blurb where one of the brothers said Jermaine would sing all the parts if they let him? They are aware of his ego and are finally straining against it. "It's time for some new Jackson blood. It's time for Tito."" It's funny to hear them talking smack about standing up to Jackie now. He's STILL the father figure.

Tito got frustrated trying to produce their album. He told them, "you guys sound like the Supremes instead of the Jacksons" to which one of them replied, "Tito is a pain in the a$$." the brothers did NOT work well in the studio. I think Michael really got frustrated with them and their work ethic, that's why he stopped performing with them. These negroes actually ERASED a song in the studio after a day of recording! Isn't it amazing how Michael almost didn't even get a chance to be in the group? What a shame they didn't have more confidence in LaToya and Rebbie. Rebbie can really SING and LaToya isn't bad herself. Of course, Janet eventually became a star, but they really poo pooed her talent for a long time.

Of course we all knew they would have plenty of footage of Jermaine emoting, praying, and talking with mama.

Two of the brothers went back to Gary, Indiana to try and get their mojo back. The town was very welcoming. They showed footage of their old family home which now stands empty as a memorial. I would like to see them build a proper memorial in Gary for Michael, since Neverland doesn't seem to be an option. I'll write about my frustrations with Neverland another time.

Tito wasn't the only one getting frustrated with the brothers. One of the nephews, Siggy just cussed out his uncles. How disrespectful. Joe would have had that a$$ on the ground before that spit finished flying out of his mouth. Jermaine cried a few more times. He really seemed kind of whiny this show. I found myself askinf if there was even water coming out of his eyes? Jermaine stop whining. The brothers did what was best for the group when they left Motown. Jermaine was being selfish wanting them to stay with Motown when Berry wouldn't let them have any creative control. The brothers had a touching moment when they tried to make him feel better. the revealed Michael cried many times before going on stage because Jermaine wasn't there with them. He was so sensitive and kindhearted.

I began to cry when Jackie started crying. This was my favorite quote from the entire show: Jackie spoke about being a pallbearer for Michael, "If I had to carry him for 100 miles, I would do it." I got angry when Marlon said, "I don't think people would ever understand the loss of a brother as opposed to losing a pop star"
I disagree. Many people have lost siblings and loved ones and know just how much it hurt. I guess it never occurred to him that some of us may even love him MORE. We don't have all the baggage, all the rivalry. The way he touched my life....
I like what Jermaine said, "I really don't think this Earth was ready for him..."
Jackie: "I'm not afraid of dying now.."

The brothers revealed they have been bullied into going ahead with a planned series of concerts before they are emotionally ready to move on from Michael's death. How can he tell you when you're done mourning? Not only are they not ready emotionally, their singing and dancing isn't up to par. They need more than 2 months to get ready...try 2 years! Even their attorney Virgil and producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis told them things won't be the same without Michael. "Your brother was the biggest star in the world...", said Virgil. Terry Lewis told them,"the only problem we have now is we don't have Michael as part of the sound. It was the Jackson 5 not the Jackson 4." Right on. Who do they think is going to sing all Michael's parts? Jermaine? (I'm sure that's what he's thinking.) It just feels so empty without MJ.
Interesting they are going to JJ and TL to produce them. Those 2 chose to work with Michael back in the day over Jermaine and he was pissed about it. They also made a huge star out of Janet. Why don't the bros get some advice from Janet?

There were some other good moments in the show, such as the black eye/pink eye segment. You'll have to watch to know what I mean. All in all, it was a good 2 hours. Jackson Family Values airs Sunday nights at 10pm Eastern on A&E.

Timbaland Quits Hip-Hop Game

Superproducer Timbaland has turned his back on hip-hop for good - insisting the genre is "just not the same" as when he started out.

The Grammy-winning beatmaker began his career working for hip-hop superstars Ginuwine and Missy Elliott, but has moved away from his roots to focus on more pop-sounding tracks.

And after working with Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado, Jonas Bros. and the Pussycat Dolls, the star believes he's found his niche - insisting there are only a few of his hip-hop contemporaries who are still relevant.

He tells MTV.com, "I was done with hip-hop a long time ago. Once my generation left, I left. I do it, but there's nobody from my generation besides Jay-Z who's doing it. I look at Lil Wayne as being from my generation. Some people are still acceptable. Kanye (West) is acceptable from my generation. It's just not the same. By it not being the same, I kind of fade to black. I did music that fits where I was going to in my age bracket.

"I figured it out a couple of years ago with Nelly (Furtado) and Justin (Timberlake) and myself. We had a tremendous run. I think it was good for me to do that. But I got this run, I'm not gonna stop until I wanna stop. And until Brandy becomes a rap superstar"

Tiger Woods' Caddie is backing away

Tiger Woods' long-time caddie, New Zealander Steve Williams, is now distancing himself from his boss admidsts calls for his sacking in the wake of the Woods scandal. Williams came under criticism from ESPN sports columnist Rick Reilly, that a number of Woods' staff members need to be fired if he wants to save his marriage:

"[Woods] needs to clean house," Reilly wrote in ESPN Magazine. "If he wants to keep his wife, he has to get a new agent, a new caddie and some new friends...It's hard to believe all this went on without their help or knowledge."

Woods attended the kiwi's 2005 wedding, but now Williams says Woods' scandal has caused tension within his own marriage. Williams also says that he knew Tiger had a problem and tried to talk with him about it, but he had no specific knowledge of the affairs:

"The media has made it very difficult for my family. There is no question about it, Williams exclusively told the New Zealand newspaper the Sunday News. "Obviously, I understand Tiger has got a problem. And we [Woods and Williams] discussed that. What people fail to realise is I [just] work for Tiger Woods ... I am not with him 24/7. ... When he is not competing, I am back in New Zealand. I have no knowledge of what he is doing."

Personally, I think Woods' entourage may or may not have provided cover for him on various occasions, but in the end Woods' actions are his own. You cannot hold someone else responsible for the actions of another. Tiger was the one placing the phone calls and texting, he arranged the rendezvous. He climbed into bed (or wherever) with this incredibly long list of women. He obviously knew what he was doing. Some have suggested he might soon claim to have a sex addiction and enter rehab to clean up his image. That would be the coward's way out. Tiger's situation is less one of addiction than one of an incredibly rich and powerful man who wanted to have his cake and eat it too.

Similarly, his wife Elin Nordegren's reported ultimatum that he leave the PGA tour and the sport of golf or lose his family also misses the mark. She has reportedly bought a mansion on a secluded Swedish isle accessible only by boat. Golf didn't cause Tiger to cheat, that was his own selfish ego. There is no shortage of buxom blondes in Sweden. Won't they need a large staff to serve at that mansion and to help her with the children? Without golf to occupy his time, Elin will have an even tougher time keeping her husband's zipper up.

White man drags black woman across bar by her hair

Dustin Meadows, a 37-year-old white man, has been charged with assault and bias-motivated crime in connection with an incident in a Sumit Cove bar. According to reports, Meadows spilled beer on a black female patron while he was dancing. When he did not acknowledge his mistake she said "What, no apology?" According to witnesses, Meadows then began to hurl epithets at her, including calling her a nigger, then he began to drag her across the Cala Inn bar by her hair. The woman lost patches of hair and required medical attention. Meadows has been released on $2500 bail.

98-year-old indicted for murder of 100-year-old woman

A Massachusetts grand jury has indicted a 98-year-old woman on second-degree murder charges stemming from the strangling her 100-year-old nursing home roommate.

Prosecutors say Laura Lundquist killed centenarian Elizabeth Barrow, a resident of Brandon Woods Nursing Home in Dartmouth, after the two women had an argument over a table Lundquist had placed at the foot of Barrow's bed. Barrow was found dead September 24 with a plastic shopping bag tied loosely around her head. Barrow previously complained the table obstructed her path to the bathroom, prosecutors said. When a nurse's aide moved it, Lundquist punched the aide and complained that her roommate "might as well have the whole room". Her roomate complained repeatedly about Lundquist saying she was making her life "a living hell". Lundquist countered saying she would outlive her roommate. It seems she was right.
