Fashion at the Oscars: M'onique's dress killed it!
Monique's dress shined last night, which was fitting because it was HER night. She was the best-dressed out of all the Best Supporting Actress nominees last night, and her hair and make up were flawless. Gabby Sidibe was dressed in bold electric blue while her mother appeared in a classic black dress. I was happy to see Gabby walk the red carpet with such confidence, but I thought her dress could have been bolder, less classic, and more flattering than it was. I also felt she needed a bit more color in her makeup given the bright color of the dress. Zoe Saldana appeared in shades of iridescent lavender. I thought the bodice of the dress could have been more flattering given her petite frame, but her hair and make up were classic and tasteful. Host Sherrie Shepperd sported what must have been an industrial brassiere to support her unbalanced look in that dress. Her stylist also could have chosen something much more flattering given her recent and very public weight loss. Host Vivica Fox chose a sleeveless black number that showed off her curves to perfection; unfortunately, her weave was not on point. As a matter of fact, it was not even on her head properly. Note to her hair stylist, a natural hairline for a woman does not begin all the way at the crown of her head. What weave was there looked good, but her giant forhead and naked front of her head were distracting the entire time she was on camera. Sherrie Shepperd should have hooked her up.

Kobe covers GQ
Kobe Bryant dishes about his proudest moments, his mistakes, and his game--on the court and off--in the next issue of GQ Magazine on the stands February 23, 2010.
On his relationship with Shaq:
“The biggest mistake I made was responding to what he was saying about me. Once I responded, now that made it seem like I was part of that whole thing. It’s like, Okay, these two are against each other. As opposed to just staying quiet, which is what I’ve been doing the last few years. Let him say what he needs to say.”
On how his win-at-all-costs mindset doesn’t carry over to the rest of his life:
“What people see on court is another side of me; it’s not me. That dark side that’s coming to get you – ha ha! I’m not losing this fucking game – that’s not who I am. That’s part of me. Off the court, I’m completely different.”

Golden Globes 2010 Fashion Rundown
30 Rock's Tracy Morgan looked dapper in his white dinner jacket. Why did he have to hold his own umbrella? Precious' Gabourey Sidibe stood out from the crowd in her emerald green gown. The color looks great on her, but I wish someone had held an umbrella over the poor child to keep her from spoiling all Kevan Hall's hard work. I never thought Zoe Saldana could look bad in anything, but this maroon Louis Vuitton ruffled gown has proven me wrong. It looks like an unfinished Project Runway speed challenge creation. Speaking of Project Runway, Seal and Runway host Heidi Klum looked like a classic Hollywood couple; Heidi is wearing Roberto Cavalli. Despite all the high fashion, the showstopper of the night belonged to Halle Berry in a Kaufman Franco "Frankenstein" dress. Nary a stretchmark or baby weight in sight!

Amber Rose made an appearance

Amber Rose has not been featured very much on the blogs since Kanye West's VMA's incident, but she came out of seclusion to attend a screening of the movie "Me and Orson Welles." I think she looks fantastic! That champagne satin really brings out the color of her hair. She is really invoking Madonna on the Blond Ambition Tour with that bustier.

President and Mrs. Obama held their first State Dinner last night at the White House. The Obamas hosted the Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh, and his wife Mrs. Gursharan Kaur and entertained them with music sung by Oscar Award Winner Jennifer Hudson.Mrs. Obama received many accolades for her strapless, elegant gown by Indian-American designer Naeem Khan. The floor-length gown boasted a muted gold tone and a fitted bodice. Mrs. Obama accented the classic dress with dramatic chandelier earrings, gold and diamond bangles, and a coordinating shawl.

Joan Collins offers to school 'Precious' star Gabby Sidibe on the glamorous life of a diva which doesn't include the purple striped sweater and fuzzy plaid vest from Rave clothing. Jay-Z snubs models so he won't upset Beyonce

Page Six is reporting that while hip hop mogul Jay-Z attended the Victoria's Secret fashion show and after party, he would not walk the red carpet or pose with the models. A source told Page Six: "Victoria's Secret begged, but Jay-Z refused . . . he explained it was out of respect for Beyoncé." At the M2 party hosted by Microsoft's Bing, he was given a private booth so he could keep his distance from the models including Chanel Iman and Selita Ebanks.
He didn't have to worry about Heidi Klum pushing up on him because Seal has that all taken care of thankyouverymuch. Jay-Z recently cancelled his world tour to hold Beyonce's purse join his wife Beyonce on her own tour. Many cite sagging ticket sales as the reason for the cancellation while others say Jay wanted to keep an eye on Bey; Rumors persist Beyonce has an drinking problem and may be having an affair with her bodyguard Julius. For the record, I do not believe either of those. It would be extremely difficult for her to work non-stop the way she does if she were drunk all the time.

The Victoria Secret Fashion Show Sizzled!

Model Chanel Iman
I don't know this model's name, but she's cute.

I'm good on the blue, hot pink, and orange. It is different though.

Another 'interesting' outfit. I love the opera gloves!

So what if Kanye wasn't there?

So what if Kanye wasn't there? A lot of other folks were whether they should have been or not. Monica looked fabulous. I love the shoes! I think the real test of just how fierce she is would come when she breaks into a full run in those heels like "Crystal--Like the Champagne." (I know only a few of you will get that one.) Trina looks nice but I have to confess. This chick looks different to me every time I see her. It's something about her face. Too much makeup? Weave changeup? Cosmetic work? I can't put my finger on it. Toccara looks beautiful as usual. That dress is a fail. It looks "discount." I still love her! Now Sheree. Sheree doesn't seem "hip hop" so I'm guessing this awards show was just a photo op for her. I love the shoes and the bag. They scream "stripper" but they are fabulous. That jumpsuit is the opposite of fabulous and a close cousin to ill-thought-out and ill-fitting. I wonder if that is one of her designs.

First Lady Michelle Obama made the list

First Lady Michelle Obama made People Magazine's 10 Best Dressed Women of the Year list. She was named "Best Accessible Glamour." And I thought the words "accessible" and Kim K. went hand in hand.
Mrs. Obama will also appear in the October issue of Women's Health magazine (Pres. Obama will be in the Oct. Men's Health), to discuss fitness and nutrition. She will also reveal the exercises she uses to keep away the flab and keep her arms fab.
