Rapper Trina, made famous by her association with Slip-n-Slide Records, isn't stopping with telethons when it comes to helping the people of Haiti. She released the following statement via her publicist:
“With the current state that Haiti is in right now, I personally feel like donating monetary and physical possessions is an enormous and vast donation; however, I would like to contribute on a higher level for more personal reasons like being ready to raise/nurture a child and by being involved on a day to day basis,” Trina states.
“The tragic and untimely list of events that have happened in Haiti–even before the recent “Earthquake”–have made me realize how blessed I am as an individual. I want to share that with a child who is a victim in this disturbing time, in addition to adding on to my immediate family circle.”
“I am in the financial position to adopt, therefore, I am taking it into deep consideration at this time. I have always admired other individuals for adopting children not so much for their celebrity status, but more so because of the nurturing and invaluable change and joy it will bring to a child’s life.”
“Lastly, the fact that I am considering adopting a child from Haiti is even more significant to me because a great deal of adopted children come into the United States from larger countries–like China, Russia and African countries. I also have family members that are of Haitian descent.”

So what if Kanye wasn't there?

So what if Kanye wasn't there? A lot of other folks were whether they should have been or not. Monica looked fabulous. I love the shoes! I think the real test of just how fierce she is would come when she breaks into a full run in those heels like "Crystal--Like the Champagne." (I know only a few of you will get that one.) Trina looks nice but I have to confess. This chick looks different to me every time I see her. It's something about her face. Too much makeup? Weave changeup? Cosmetic work? I can't put my finger on it. Toccara looks beautiful as usual. That dress is a fail. It looks "discount." I still love her! Now Sheree. Sheree doesn't seem "hip hop" so I'm guessing this awards show was just a photo op for her. I love the shoes and the bag. They scream "stripper" but they are fabulous. That jumpsuit is the opposite of fabulous and a close cousin to ill-thought-out and ill-fitting. I wonder if that is one of her designs.

La La Takes Off Her Earrings and Gets the Vaseline
Carmelo Anthony's fiancee, La La Vasquez was escorted away from her courtside seats at the Denver Nuggets/Dallas Mavericks game after getting into an altercation with nearby fans Saturday night. According to sources close to La La, Mavericks fans threw ice at her and her son, shouted racial slurs, and were generally disrespectful. La La sent her son home early but stayed to cheer on her man. Things came to a head when La La says she was pushed by an unknown person or persons.
“Obviously the play-off games bring out the best and the worst in fans but what happened on Monday night with the racial slurs/threats, verbal attacks on my son and physical attacks to myself by irate fans was unacceptable,” states LaLa. “The fans were totally out of control. What the cameras captured was me defending myself and didn’t show the abuse that was taking place.”
Mavericks fans also directed their mischief at Kenyon Martin's mother and girlfriend Trina on Monday. Unconfirmed reports also say an unknown person threw a beer on Martin's mother. To put the icing on the cake, Mavericks owner, Mark Cuban, approached Martin's mother to critize her son, calling him a punk and a thug after a close game on Saturday. Cuban went on to criticize her parenting skills. Kenyon repsponded by calling Cuban a "fa&&*t motherfu*#" on live television at Monday's rowdy game.
