Halloween came early for some
Halloween came early for some people: Is it just me, or was Mel B. channeling Real Housewives of Atlanta's Kim Z. at the London launch for Glaceau Vitamin Water Triple XXX Berry Drink? That wig is a hot mess. In true diva fashion, Scary Spice wore several wigs and three different dresses at the event. Gotta keep her name in the blogs...
...After all, people have stopped paying attention when she does this
She still looks fabu!
Tyra Banks dressed as Kim K. for Halloween
Tyra Banks styled herself like Kim Kardashian for Halloween. Personally, I wonder whether it is really a compliment when someone dresses as you for a holiday like this...though she really favors her here.
It's a dead heat in the bust department but Kim wins the bootylicious contest hands down. Who will YOU be tonight?

This man has a serious jones for some Ryan Seacrest
Chidi Uzomah (the brotha on the right) was arrested at 9:40 AM PT on Friday, after showing up at the E! offices and asking to see Ryan Seacrest.
Uzomah had a knife on him (and a check from the dude from 'The Soup') when he showed up.
Uzomah was convicted last month of battery and two other misdemeanors after assaulting one of Seacrest's security guards outside an O.C. hospital. The judge placed him on 3 years probation and ordered him to stay away from Ryan.

Our L.A. real estate canaries are singing about Mr. Simmons
Our L.A. real estate canaries are singing about Mr. Simmons...Henry Simmons, that is. Simmons, best known as Det. Baldwin Jones on NYPD Blue, just put his 1922 compound up for sale. The 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath manse is located in the Hollywood Hills just blocks from the famed Sunset Strip.
Mr. Simmons is obviously Mr. Romance because the master bath boasts a steam shower and French doors leading to a private terrace with a sunken hot tub. There is also another larger terrace and the entire property is surrounded by privacy-making bamboo hedges. It goes without saying the 2026 square foot home has hardwood floors, a wood-burning fireplace, stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, and a home gym. What? You thought he got those rock-hard abs through genetics alone?
The home is listed with an asking price of $1,397,000, which would mean Simmons would make a tidy profit even in this upside-down market.
You read it here first.

ANTM Finalists 'Blackfaced' for Photoshoot
Continuing the resurgence of a makeup practice long considered taboo, "America's Next Top Model" featured a number of models painted with dark makeup to resemble bi-racial women on Wednesday's telecast. Out of "ANTM's" six remaining contestants, one is black, one is Asian and four are Caucasian.
This is the second time models have been shown in dark makeup in recent weeks.French Vogue photographed model Lara Stone in blackface for its October issue, which was particularly disturbing because the offending pictures were part of an issue celebrating models, but had nary a black model in the magazine. Must be considered 'art' and eligible for a NAACP Image Award only when Miss Tyra does it.

Don't look now, but the producer of 'Cheaters' and a former producer of 'The Springer Show' is in talks with Jon Gosselin and Nadya Suleman for a new reality tv show. The premise of the show is the two will date. My man Jon ain't really feelin' the possibility of 22 child support payments right off the top, however Nadya already admitted that she thinks Jon is 'hot'. Looks like the apocalypse will be televised...

Wouldn't he have to graduate first? (aka he would be worse than Sarah Palin as VP)
50 Cent recently discussed how thrifty he has become with his flossin' mackin' and pimpin' in the recession: “I buy diamonds on a very regular basis, but now I am selling my old stuff before I get something new. These are times when you learn about the value of money...If you don’t lose money in this recession, it means you didn’t have enough to start off with. Sure, I lost a few million, but that’s because I have so much. This is a time that will sort out the strong from the weak. Any businessman who wants a piece of the future should learn for me. Obama is great. If he wants me as his financial adviser that would be cool.”

Joe Jackson at Tuesday Vegas Premiere of 'This is It'
Joe Jackson with Craigslist's best at the Vegas premiere of 'This is It'. He was also presented with a celebrity star at the Palms Hotel by the Maloof Bros. Papa Jackson told ET, "I think it's a fantastic thing to be able to accept a star. I accept it because of my son." He also added to People Magazine referring to Prince, Paris and Blanket (we think): "They are healthy, they exercise, they practice martial arts. They are fine."
Naomi Campbell is being sued over her cat deluxe
Perfume company Moodform Mission is suing Naomi Campbell for breech of contract; the company says the supermodel withheld millions of dollars in profits made from perfumes the company helped Campbell develop and market. Moodform claims Campbell paid them according to contract from 2001 through 2008 but then abruptly stopped payment without explanation in 2008. Proctor & Gamble sells the three fragrances in question, Naomi Campbell, Seductive Elixir, and Cat Deluxe. So, is that what she uses to hold onto that fine-assed billionaire Russian? Cat Deluxe?
Plus-Sized Nightclubs?
Move over, it's Saturday night at Club Bounce and people are bouncing onto the dance floor in a big, big way. These are big, big people, all dressed to the nines and many tipping the scales at 250, maybe 300 pounds.
That's because this expansive nightclub a couple blocks from the Pacific Ocean, with its flashing lights, friendly atmosphere and wall-rattling hip-hop sounds, caters specifically to fat people. Not just any fat people, either, but fat people who are proud to call themselves fat people. The club, with a capacity of 400, attracts relatively equal numbers of men and women, although the owner says about three-quarters of the women tend to be heavy, while only about a quarter of the men are (you know dat's right!).
Such clubs are still a relatively new phenomenon, however, with a handful scattered across California, mainly in coastal cities from San Diego to San Francisco.
"The whole thing really started on the internet, with clubhouse parties organized online," says Kathleen Divine, who runs another Southern California plus-size club, the Butterfly Lounge. "Now you see a lot more large people out in public, not hiding behind their keyboards anymore."

Antoine Walker is broke
Former NBA star Antoine Walker is broke--in millionaire's terms. The former forward made roughly $110 million over the span of a 12 year career including salary, adidas endorsements, and a cover for NBA Live 99. He still has over half that money left, but he is over $4 million in debt and facing check fraud charges. The Boston Globe gave a partial accounting of what he did with his money: two Bentleys, two Mercedes, a Range Rover, a Cadillac Escalade, a bright red Hummer--all customized/pimped/tricked out--he supported an entourage of 70 friends and family (isn't that how MC Hammer went broke?) and he built his mama a mansion in the Chicago suburbs, complete with an indoor pool, 10 bathrooms, and a full-size basketball court. At least he took care of mama and isn't facing child support charges.

Serena's haters are dead quiet now
All those in sports and media who were calling for tennis great Serena Williams to be fined, suspended, and maybe even stripped of her Australian Open title after he outburst at a line judge are dead quiet now. Stunned silence greated Andre Agassi's revelation he took crystal meth and lied to ATP officials about his usage in his new autobiography Open. Those ATP officials allowed him to skate on positive drug test results during his heyday. It will be interesting to see what, if any, repercussions these confessions have on his legacy and retention of his eight grand slam titles. At the time of his drug use, Agassi was married to teen screen queen Brooke Shields; he subsequently married tennis great Steffi Graf.

I went to one of the "This Is It" World Premieres
The movie is fantastic. I highly recommend you take some time to see it in the next two weeks.
I still have no idea what that strange sweeping motion at 0:11 is. It made no more sense in the film.
I got chills watching this footage in the context of the film as a whole and knowing it was some of the last breaths he would take.
I am a huge Michael Jackson fan, but even I thought Elizabeth Taylor was exaggerating in her praise for this documentary. I was wrong; this is a must-see movie for anyone who has even a passing interest in Michael, music, dance--life itself. I was completely blown away by the vibrancy and energy I witnessed on screen. There were poignant moments and moments of humor. The humor especially surprised me. Michael really has a wry sense of humor and was often funny without meaning to be so. He took great pride in his work and some of the best moments of the film came when he was correcting others to bring them in line with his vision of perfection for his works. The crew and the audience alike shared a snicker when one of the musicians agreed to "put a little more booty in it" to funk up a bass line and no one was taken aback when, at another point, Michael told the musicans to play his songs like he wrote them; he wrote them like that for a reason. I was touched by how many people expressed the sheer honor of having the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work with him on this concert. More than once someone said it was a "dream come true."
As for Michael, you could tell age was creeping up on him: he held back in both the singing and the dancing to preserve his voice and body through the grueling 14 hour a day rehearsals leading up to the actual concerts. As Michael told his backup singers, "you can sing out; I need to preserve my voice." Still, Michael holding back is better than any person living or dead giving the best performance of their lives. He was always pitch-perfect and completely hands-on from the choreography to the special effects to the harmonies and the music. The scene where he and Judith Hill dueted was classic Michael. All other singers, no matter how accomplished, had to push themselves to keep up with his emotional tenderness, his sweetness of note.
There were many times when I felt like Kenny Ortega was merely a figurehead because Michael seemed to be directing even the most minute details; he wanted the audience to experience the extravaganza as he saw it in his own dreams. The re-imagined Thriller scene was so incredible it would have been worth the international flight to London just to see it in 3-D. He also re-tooled Smooth Criminal to include scenes with Humphrey Bogart and Greta Garbo. He fit in seemlessly with the vintage scenes in his suit, hat, and spats. I would have liked to see more dance choreography to accompany that segment though the Matrix-like special effects and Michael sliding down a staircase and jumping through a plate glass window was awe-inspiring. Still, Smooth Criminal just isn't the same without the famous 45 degree lean.
There are those who say this movie is a sham effort to cover up Michael's frailty in his last days. He looked healthy and happy in the footage which appeared to be taken over the course of at least a week or two prior to his death. Michael did look thinner than usual and he rarely danced full out unless the music really got a hold of him. I think he was saving himself and his energy so he could give a 1000% when he did the actual shows in London. After all, he was a 50 year old man about to perform 50 shows back to back. Michael would never cheat his fans. Indeed, this concert would have spoiled them for any others. Nothing else would have compared. In that sense, he did really mean This is It. In all others, this will never be it for the King of Pop. Long Live Michael Jackson.

Cassie gives it another try
Cassie recently had another photoshoot. This latest shoot went much better than this one and and this one. I think the photos are great, but I still want to give her a sandwich and a hug. It looks like that impromptu buzz cut is growing in nicely.
Tyler Perry answers his critics
With his increasing success, Tyler Perry's critics get more and more vocal. Perry recently sat down with 60 Minutes to address criticism of the images portrayed in his projects by seminal filmmaker Spike Lee. Personally, I can understand where Lee and other critics are coming from, but I think they misconstrue the intent of characters like Madea. I would hesitate to put her in the same category as Eddie Murphy's Norbit or Martin Lawrence's Big Mama. I think those characters were buffoons that negatively depicted a certain segment of African American women. Madea is a little more complicated. Madea's purpose is to speak the truth and teach a lesson in every Perry stage play and movie. Could the character use a bit more depth? Yes. Could she be a bit less silly? Yes. Does she serve up laughs in the projects? Yes. A lot of people have also criticized Perry's character Mr. Brown. I think Brown is funny in the stage plays. I really enjoy his singing. The outfits are over the top. He is literally a clown, so I think it is fitting. I don't care for Meet the Browns or House of Payne, but I think they are a nice option for African American viewers--particularly in the middle aged and older demographics--who want to watch a safe, family oriented show with characters who look like them. The bottom line is Perry has shown growth in his writing and directing and he still has a way to go. I look forward to seeing what he can produce in the future. I don't like all of Spike Lee's films either, though they are unfailingly thought provoking and beautiful in their execution; I never fail to be moved by Bill Lee's scores and amazed by Spike's use of unusual camera angles and color. I think there is room for both directors in the pantheon of Black fil making.l
Is She by Sheree looking for a she?
Because they have to keep the drama going and make sure you tune in, Bravo is now peddling rumors Sheree might be a lesbian. Personally, I think Sheree is too uptight, materialistic, and status conscious to step out with a woman on her arm, but that's just my opinion.

TLC tried to set it off
T-Boz recently confessed to trying to set it off with the other girls of TLC. According to T-Boz, the group once confronted Clive Davis about their measly $50,000 cut--that's $50K total for the three of them to split--off the $75 million made by CrazySexyCool and their other efforts. The group toured extensively, made numerous appearances, and were synonymous with pop culture during the time of their heydey yet the women were broke. Unfortunately, their story of exploitation is hardly unique in the music business.
Is Michael Jordan a racist a-hole?
(This story came out last year but is just now getting play.) Rapper Chamillionaire claims Michael Jordan once straight dissed him for no reason. Chamilli says he asked Air Jordan for an autograph at a party and Jordan told him "I ain't taking pictures wit no ni&&as." Excuse me? Since when did he get a race change? Spike Lee and Yung Joc have expressed their support for Chamillionaire by declaring "Fcuk Jordan".

Weezy plead guilty to an attempted weapons possession charge Thursday stemming from a 2007 incident during which officers found a loaded 0.40 caliber semi-automatic loaded gun in his tour bus in Manhattan. By pleading out, Lil Wayne received one year in jail as opposed to his expected three and a half year bid if convicted under his not-guilty plea. He still faces charges from last year in Arizona on felony drug possession and weapons charges after border patrol officials found four ounces of marijuana,an ounce of coke, 41 grams of Ecstasy, and a 0.40-caliber pistol on his tour bus.
Madonna visits Malawi
Madonna will visit Malawi to observe the progress of the school for girls she is building through her charity, Raising Malawi. Her charity helps feed, educate and provide medical care for some of Malawi's orphans. The country is one of the poorest nations in the world; out of 12 million people, half a million children have lost a parent to AIDS. During her visit, Madonna will visit several orphanages and meet with President Bingu wa Mutharika. Madonna controversially adopted two children from Malawi, her 4-year-old son David and 3-year-old daughter Mercy.

Amber Rose at Elle event Monday Evening...
The 16th Annual Elle Women in Hollywood at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills.
Say what you want, ol' Amber Rose don't have three baby daddies, she's not out trying to sing or has a new song out, isn't on twitter every ten minutes giving a play by play of her life (she did try to intervene on Kanye's twitter-cide the other night), she's not (at least she don't get caught) talking behind peoples backs, not pushing a book, video or a reality series (yet), hasn't stole anyone's man in Hollywood (yet), hasn't been on any talk shows-much less even been heard speaking before, she don't get paid to show up at club openings in Miami and hasn't been arrested lately or on parole (as far as I know)...she has found a niche as a model and is on her grind. Last I checked, ain't nothing wrong with that...
