Officially More Than Buzz...
Gabourey Sidibe on the cover of this weeks' New York Times Magazine after claiming the 'New Hollywood Award' at the Hollywood Film Festival for her performance in the film "Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire."
they've been complaining for years that black filmakers couldn't finance, create, promote and distribute a movie like this on their own, it finally happens and TP and O still get static (smh)

I am so excited about seeing this movie. The critics love it. I am happy to see some regular looking black actresses get some shine for a change.
