Chris Rock talks about why his blind date years ago with Nia Long never turned into a second date: "She was kind of obnoxious. You know how you go on a date and this one thing means we are not going on a date again? At one point, I asked her 'So are you seeing anybody' and she says 'No, but I know where to get some good dick if I need it'”.

I have always liked Nia Long, so I was very surprised to hear her say something so classless. You just don't say things like this on a first date. Who wants to think they are dating a slut? I'm not saying having a 'maintenance man' makes you a slut, but you just don't talk about effing other people on a first date if you want a second one. Her comment was a deal-breaker for Chris. Would you wife her?

The fabulous Nia Long did the cover of the latest Essence. I think Nia is naturally gorgeous, but something seems really off about this cover. Either they need a new make up person or they photoshopped her to death. How unnecessary!

They Say, Singers Shouldn't Act, Should Athletes Rap?

Now we have the huge corporation of Nike in association with Foot Locker working against our better judgement. In a new commercial, Nike recruited Mo Williams, Kevin Durant, Andre Iguodala and Rashard Lewis, collectively known as the Hyperizers, to spit some lyrics over an old school hip-hop beat that appears to be produced by DJ Quik (who makes a cameo in the video). The video, "Don't Criticize (Hyperize)," features the ballers wearing late 80's and early 90's hip-hop garb, walking down the street with their crews, and playing basketball on outdoor courts. Sure the video is all in fun, but we don't want to give them any ideas do we? Check out the video....it's pretty dope.

Nia Long backs up off that

In a recent interview with actress Nia Long, an interviewer asked Long what she thought about Beyonce's recent comic blockbuster, Obsessed. The magazine quoted Nia as saying, “I didn’t see Obsessed, so I can’t comment, but it’s just not about how talented you are anymore. It’s about, ‘How much box-office revenue will this person generate...When you see certain people… they just don’t have the skill, and no one in their team has said, ‘You need acting classes.’”

The Papa Shady machine has started turning its gears, and now Pride editors are scrambling to clean up the blood on the dancefloor. They have released a statement saying, “Pride would like to apologise for the fact that editing of the final article may have left Nia’s comments open to tabloid manipulation...As Europe’s premier publication for the woman of colour, Pride seeks only to celebrate the achievements of celebrities such as Nia Long and Beyonce Knowles, and hope no offence has been caused through the media speculation.”

Nia Long Disses Beyonce

Nia Long, star of Love Jones and Disappearing Acts, sounded off on fake actresses in the U.K. magazine Pride.

"If you’re a singer not an actress, you should sing. If you’re a rapper, you should rap,” Nia told the magazine.
In the July issue cover story writer Jessica Huie asked Nia what she thought about Beyonce's performance in ‘Obsessed.’

“I didn’t see ‘Obsessed,’ so I can’t comment, but it’s just not about how talented you are anymore.
