Yaki Nights Over Egypt
The gentleman on the left, Egyptian chief Egyptologist Zahi Hawass called American pop-star Beyonce a “stupid person” during her brief tour of the Giza pyramids earlier this week
In a shocking display of poor diplomacy, writing in al-Shorouk newspaper, Summer al-Gamal said that Hawass became fed up with the pop star’s attitude after she did not show the interest Hawass felt was deserved of the pyramids, according to Bikya Masr website.
According to Gamal, during Hawass’ self-guided tour, he said “I showed her the Sphinx and I gave her a book on King Tutankhamen,” but then his anger and frustration made its way to the forefront.
“Then he stopped being diplomatic and said in anger, ’she’s a stupid person and she doesn’t understand a thing and she doesn’t want to understand’,” wrote Gamal. But if he really felt that way, why did he give her a book, must be a picture book.

That doesn't even look like Beyonce she looks so old.
ReplyDeleteShe is an airhead and now everyone in the world knows it.
ReplyDeletehawass could have smoothed it over by saying that he hoped Beyonce could return to his country for a longer stay to get to know the country better-(and not just take the check and run)
ReplyDeleteHe doesn't care.He knows people will visit Egypt regardless. He didn't like her and he spoke his mind. She must have really pissed him off being a diva and making unreasonable demands.
ReplyDeleteZahi Hawus doesn't like black people. He denies black people ruled Egypt and built the pyramids. He plays into European ideas of Egyptian really being white people instead of Africans.
ReplyDeleteshe "is" stupid, but nobody called little miss perfect out until now. I'm glad someone said it!
ReplyDeleteI wish more people: reporters, performers, backup dancers, etc, would call her out for being a twit and a vindictive person. I'm tired of her goody2shoes persona. She doesn't deserve it and that's not really who she is.
