Gatorade unveils a new Tiger-inspired label
Gatorade was one of the first sponsors to drop Tiger Woods as a sponsor after his multiple mistress sex scandal hit the newswires. Now, it seems Gatorade is adding salt to his (golf club inflicted) wounds. Bottles of Gatorade bearing labels saying "Un Faithful" have begun appearing on store shelves in Denver, Colorado. The company has sought to have the renegade bottles pulled from shelves saying they must be the work of a prankster.

Michael Jordan sues two grocery stores
Sports legend Michael Jordan has initiated a $10 million lawsuit against two Chicago area grocery stores for using his identity without permission. The two stores, Dominick's Finer Foods and Jewel Food Stores, published ads in a commemorative Sports Illustrated issue, "Jordan: A Hall of Fame Career" that associated his name with congratulatory messages from the stores. Jordan's shoes were used in one ad while his name was listed above a steak in another ad. Apparently he was really burned up about the steak ad given he is an investor in a chain of steakhouses. He seeks $5 million in damages from each store.Monday, November 9, 2009

Mo' Finally Shows on Precious Red Carpet

For the LA premiere at AFI Fest...It appears the films' distributor Lionsgate has come to terms with the actress (details not disclosed) and Mo'Nique flew in from the ATL to attend. Precious opens nationwide on November 13th. Was Mo crazy to hold out from attending Precious premieres or trying to be a good bid'ness woman?

Y'all pray for Kandi Burrus

Kandi Burrus, formerly of Xscape and now a star on Real Housewives of Atlanta, really needs an intervention. I'm sure you know by now Kandi is engaged to AJ, father of six (with four babymamas). Kandi has one daughter from a previous relationship. Her daughter is uncomfortable with the engagement and her mother is positively against it. Well, Kandi recently told Essence.com she and AJ have put their engagement on hiatus.
What's the issue then, you say? Well...Kandi now has custody of his 12 -year-old twin daughters. Say what? I said Kandi is now taken over legal guardianship of two of his six children from AJ's mama. *sigh* She says it's because the girls need a strong female role model in her life and he would have taken them, but...blah, blah, blah. This man wasn't even raising his own daughters. He had his mama doing it. Now Kandi is the one pulling his plow for him. Yes, she would have been one of their guardians if they had gotten married, but she says they aren't even together right now. (For the record, I don't buy that for a minute. She is just trying to get some of the negative heat off her, in my opinion.)
Not only has she taken on the responsibility of raising his kids, but when asked what exactly what it is he does for a living Kandi says, "AJ over time has done a lot of things, including running this collection agency while we were together and he just recently bought into this strip club." So is she saying he can't keep a job? Nevermind that. I can't believe she thinks it is a good idea for her daughter's future stepfather to be a proprieter of a strip club. I really thought she had a good head on her shoulders. I just can't with them today.

Coco gives it up for her man Ice-T

Aging rapper Ice-T graced the stages at Vegas' "We Rock Hip Hop" party at Planet Hollywood. Ice-T performed "99 Problems" and "Colors" while Coco entertained the crowd by doing shout outs and showing her ass.
Doesn't he look like he's about to give her a digital exam? Who says an old pimp ain't still in the game?

Crabtree is threatening to sit out

Number 10 draft pick San Francisco 49'ers rookie Michael Crabtree is threatening to sit out this season and re-enter the draft next year if the team does not agree to raise his salary above number 7 draft pick Darrius Heyward-Bey's $23.5 million. Crabtree is basing his demands on hypothetical practice drafts which placed him ahead of Heyward-Bey. This is shaking up the world of the NFL because this type of stunt has never before been attempted by a rookie.

Add 50 Cent to the list of stars whose concerts have fallen through

50 Cent's agent, the William Morris Endeavor Agency faces a lawsuit from a German promoter who paid $125,000 to negotiate for a concert that never materialized. WMEA was supposed to return the money if the concert fell through, but they never did. Are people even really checking for Curly like that?

It's Good to Be the King....

The administrators of Michael Jackson's estate might want to check under the mattresses for cash. The executors were just handed $5.5 million that Jackson had asked one of his financial advisors to hold for him - plus a ton of personal items that could be auctioned for big bucks.
Although it was widely believed the King of Pop was cash-poor, apparently he had some serious moolah just laying around.
Dr. Tohme Tohme, a close advisor to the music icon, said he's the one who turned over the millions listed in court documents last week."I had the money and I gave it to them. It was a secret between Michael and me," he said. He said the money came from recording residuals and Jackson planned to use it for a "dream home" in Las Vegas." He said, "Don't tell anyone about this money," Tohme recalled. "But when he passed away I told them I had this money, and I gave it to them (and there's much more where that came from)."
He said he also turned over belongings from Jackson's Neverland estate that were in storage after a planned auction was cancelled.
Although Jackson was saddled with huge debts before his death of a suspected drug overdose on June 25, administrators believe the estate will eventually be solvent.
They're cutting deals to bring in "tens of millions of dollars of revenues," recent court filings said.

Pimpin Ain't Easy

Pimpin may not be easy but it ain't that damn hard. Katt Williams has denied rumors he filed for bankruptcy. Still, I can see how the father of 7 adopted children might have to use a coupon or two. It's a recession y'all.

Chef Paul and Juicy Steaks

Three 6 Mafia--which is really just DJ Paul and Juicy J now--is developing a new cooking show called "Cooking Ain't Easy." The show would follow the duo through their weekly dinner parties. The pair would cook, prepare, and serve gourmet meals to their friends and family. Oscar winners, Three 6 Mafia, and their producers are shopping the show around to cable networks. Apparently pimpin isn't the only thing that ain't easy.

The Dream tells Christina to get that money

The Dream explains his management philosophy for Christina Milian:
“She has a lot of stuff going on in the movie world and actually on TV. Somebody just gave her a lot of bread, and you don’t make enough money in the radio and R&B world, you know when it gets to that particular point. Somebody show up in her house with 10 million [dollars], and then you got a blog full of haters that’s trying to make sure that your shit don’t come out, it’s like what you gon’ do? Let me see, Paramount Pictures wants to give me 10 million, or I got to try to beat my head in the ground to prove something to the ni&&as that are going to give me five dollars. You gon’ take that $10 million and ride out. ‘Cause I need a new Phantom, so I want her to take that 10 million.”

Pharrell shows off his shine
"My jeweler says it looks like I dropped this G Shock in a tavern filled of yellow rock candy..
Well,I think it's more like a thousand fire flies in a jar."
Well, I think it looks like something Sun Yun Kyi tried to sell me last week for $10 at the swap meet. Shout out! (They have the best bangles there.)

Caption the footage from Coco's Smooth Magazine Shoot
Okay, seeing Coco's big robo-booty when you first load the page was just too much, so I had to take it down. Click here to watch the video. Why do I get the feeling that set smelled like a mixture of used motor oil, ass, and an electrical fire?
