Eddie's Pryor's Catch Up To Him...
The Richard Pryor biopic moves on with Marlon Wayans in the title role after Eddie Murphy dropped out citing conflicts with Paramount Pictures. The movie has since switched to Sony Studios.
Marlon typecast his own self, but I believe he has potential that nobody has seen yet. Kudos to him for getting this mega role. I just hope this film has a great director, otherwise it will flop. Even if the acting is good, it can't save a poorly directed film. The movie 'precious' is a good example. I would never have thought the caliber of performances from people like Monique and Mariah Carey, would've done so well. I was skeptical with Jamie Foxx as Ray Charles, but he pulled it off beautifully. I'm gonna give Marlon a chance.

I thought my man Mike Epps was supposed to play Richard. What happened?
ReplyDeleteMike Epps would have been a much better choice-agreed
ReplyDeleteI just can't take Wayans seriously. I don't know what it is--maybe Little Man, White Chicks, and all those have poisoned his image. Sorry.
