Usher's soon-to-be-ex-wife opened up to Upscale Magazine about the role outside forces played in the failure of her marriage to the R&B star:
“...I understand where all the negativity comes from. Unfortunately I think that some black women are – subconsciously – not in love with the image they see in the mirror. Therefore in turn they do not love someone like me. I look too much like them. They would definitely have preferred my husband marry someone more exotic looking. Instead of saying 'wow, she looks like me. She’s living a fairytale' - they criticize...Yes it played a factor. I was not given a fair shot. People passed judgment without getting to know me. How can you get the entire concept of who I am from a blog?"

WOW! THAT WAS DEEP. EVEN THOUGH I'M NOT A FAN OF TAMEKA, I FEEL SHE DEFINITELY HAS A VALID POINT. I ASKED HER WHY SHE CHECKED THAT ON FORMS WHEN ASKED TO DECRIBE YOUR ETHNICITY? SHE SAID BECAUSE HER GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT GRANDMOTHER WAS MIXED. I WAS LIKE, OH FOREAL? I ACTUALLY CAUGHT AN ATTITUDE BEHIND THAT SHIT, TO WHERE I STARTED ACTING FUNNY AND EVERYTHING. I'VE HAD MY HEADPHONES ON ALL DAY AT WORK, JUST TO KEEP PEOPLE FROM TALKING TO ME. ReplyDeleteI think Tameka didn't like what she saw in the mirror and secretly wanted to be that exotic young-looking girl (ie Chili). People downed her for her stank attitude, the way she treated his mom, and the fact that she left her family behind to chase Usher. People didn't like HER not her looks.

ReplyDeleteI'm sure all those trips to Brazil for plastic surgery gave her keen insight on Black women's self-esteem issues...chile please! How much longer will people care about what this heffa has to say?! Why wasn't she this deep/profound during her marriage? It's kinda funny that she's all "let's heal Black women" now that her time in the spotlight is almost up.

ReplyDeletenow her attitude is very ugly and that is what most people that have ever dealt with her remember..she just didn't show herself to have respect for others..you wouldn't care for a person like that either..i mean i've actually seen her push someone,because they were not moving fast enough for her..she's a foul fuckup period case closed
