Is this cute?
Is this cute? Tyra Banks had 9-year-old Diva Davanna on America's Next Top Model to demonstrate modeling to the contestants. She came out dressed as a twin to Ms. Jay (who even with makeup looks like...Mr. Jay) and strutted on that runway like her name was Eva Pigford. She looked and modeled just as well or better than the adult contestants on the show. My question is, should a 9-year-old be tarted up with weave and heavy makeup and be twisting and serving it up? Didn't we all cringe in disgust when JonBenet Ramsay did this? What happened to letting a kid be a kid?

I think you are right. Society sexualizes children too much then wonders why molestation is so wide spread. I enjoyed your piece on Polanski by the way.

no it is not cute to see a little girl working her hips like that
ReplyDeleteAs long as she had her clothes on and not to sexual, I'm okay with it. Little girls have always played dress up afterall.
