What part of the game is this?Dallas Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki has filed papers seeking sole custody of his now unborn child with ex-girlfriend Cristal Taylor (Crista Ann Taylor) pending the results of a paternity test. Taylor, who has a number of aliases and a multi-state record of financial crimes, is under investigation for using someone else's credit card to pay for approximately $11,000 in dental work and violation of probation. At the time of her arrest, Cristal and Nowitzki lived together in his $6 million mansion, were engaged to be married, and the basketball star had purchased a $250,000 engagement ring.
According to ESPN, the FBI is currently investigating threatening phone calls Taylor allegedly made to Nowitzki and his attorneys from jail seeking money. The ballplayer's father told German media it was almost as if she is blackmailing him.
According to one of Taylor's former roommates, she has three teenaged children, none of which she raised herself. Sources close to Nowitzki, Taylor drove a wedge between Dirk, his family, and his teammates.
