A Los Angeles judge says Chris Brown must serve five years of probation and perform six months of community labor for beating Rihanna.
The 20-year-old appeared in court Tuesday afternoon to be formally sentenced for the February attack on his then-girlfriend.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg said in the sentencing she wants to see Brown do "actual physical labor, as opposed to some type of community service." This means Brown has to do tasks such as graffiti removal, washing cars, cleaning and maintaining grounds and garbage pickup. The chief of police in Richmond, Virginia, wrote a letter to the judge stating that he would make sure Brown is keeping up with his community labor. Brown must also complete domestic violence counseling. He should call Naomi Campbell to get some tips on that community service.
A probation report was also obtained for Brown that says he and Rihanna were involved in at least two other domestic violence incidents before the February attack for which Brown was sentenced.
Brown's sentence will be served in his home state of Virginia. He will have to return to Los Angeles frequently to update a judge on his progress.

Hopefully they can both move on from here. 5 years is a long time. They are going to have to find other people and give up on the love/hate affair.
ReplyDeleteI heard they detailed several times when she slapped and beat him. They were a violent couple.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the judge ordered them to stay away from each other. She was just setting him up to go to jail again. Think about it. They can never argue because she will always hold that over his head. All she has to do is put her hand on the phone like she's going to call 911.
