What ever happened to Ambien or Tylenol PM?

Michael Jackson's doctor, Dr. Conrad Murray, is seriously facing manslaughter charges and the L.A. coroner has officially ruled Michael's death a homicide. It is important to note this designation of homicide means a death occurred at the hands of another, thus it includes manslaughter and criminal negligence.

According to reports, the night before Michael passed, Murray tried to put him to sleep by administering the benzodiazepines lorazepam and midazolam. Then around 1:30 a.m. on June 25, he gave him a 10 mg tab of Valium. He then injected 2 mg of lorazepam around 2 a.m., 2 mg of midazolam around 3 a.m., and repeats of each at 5 a.m. and 7:30 a.m., respectively.

Dr. Murray told detectives they did not work and around 10:40 a.m. he gave in to Jackson's "repeated demands/requests" for propofol, which Michael had nicknamed his "milk." Dr. Murray administered 25 mg of propofol which finally put Michael to sleep...forever.

Dr. Murray says he stayed Michael for 10 minutes before he went to the bathroom. According to him, when he returned 2 minutes later Michael had stopped breathing.

According to police analysis of phone records, Dr. Murray was on the phone with three separate callers for 47 minutes between the time he said Michael stopped breathing and paramedics were called. I think it goes without saying it is doubtful he was administering CPR while simultaneously holding these conversations. In addition, according to investigators, Dr. Murray withheld that he gave Michael Propofol from paramedics and hospital personnel when Michael was rushed to UCLA medical center in cardiac arrest. Dr. Murray also denied purchasing any of the drug though pharmacy records contradict his account. I have to say, if all this happened before 11am why did it take so long for him to come downstairs and tell someone to call 911? Why did he go get a 12 year-old in the emergency? Why call Joe Jackson in another state before calling 911? If he couldn't find a phone to call 911 how could he have been on his cell phone for 47 minutes before calling anyone?

  1. This doctor needs to go to prison hands down. Who in their right mind would give 1 person that much meds? Where did he get his degree from? Valpak? This is ridiculous. A doctor is supposed to know right from wrong not shoot up med after med into someone who don't know right from wrong.

  4. Michael was a drug addict who would go to any means to get his fix. Why is everyone looking at everyone else to place the blame? The killer is already dead!

  5. Michael was not an addict at least not a regular addict. Those doctors gave him those drugs and told him it would be alright.

  7. I believe Michael was helped with his addiction. Meaning, he had to have been introduced to IV drips with the Propofol, etc. Michael was introduced to these drugs. I know and Michael knew he was an addict. We can say that until the end of time. However, if you see someone about to walk into an oncoming train, wouldn't you try to help them even it it means physically pushing their butts off the tracks. I would have brought much attention to Michael's problem long ago. Being a practicing medical professional such as Dr Murray and Klein claim they are, I would have tried to get Michael court ordered into rehab. Instead we end up losing this phenomenal man. A damn shame!!!

  8. Michael was such an incredible artist and a truly good spirit it still hurts my heart that he is gone and so needlessly! I am angry at Murry for taking him away. Of course he had help with that. So many doctors along the way introduced Michael to various drugs and got him addicted and they are all at fault. I am still so sad and becoming depressed the closer we get to Michael's birthday.

  10. It looks as if Dr. Murray was definitely in the wrong. I hope he tells the whole story. A lot of other doctors were giving Michael medicine knowing full well he was addicted and not making sound decisions. They should all be punished for depriving us of Michael's talent and love.
