Mos Def announced Wednesday a plan to help raise money for victims of Hurricane Katrina. He wants to host an international event with entertainers having dancing, singing, stepping, and rap battles. He was especially excited when he issued a challenge pitting himself, Talib Kweli, and other members of the consciousness crew against heavy hitters Jay-Z, Kanye West, and others. It is great he is ou there doing something for the community. Now if he can only pull his own personal life together.

ReplyDeleteIt would be good to bring together the hood for something positive. I just hope no fights break out or they dont take the battles to another level. You know how New York is.
