Matthew explains why Beyonce didn't show

“The cancellation of the launch party for Beyonce’s “I AM…” tour, first scheduled for this Saturday at M2, was a result of a breach of contract by the promoter. Beyonce never had a contract with the club itself and no one in her camp dealt directly with the venue. The superstar was never scheduled to perform but was to serve as a co-host and introduce singer/songwriter Solange’s performance. Patrons were falsely promised a performance by Beyonce.”

They actually expect us to believe they scheduled Solange for a show?

This is a cute picture of them together.

The Dream tells Christina to get that money

The Dream explains his management philosophy for Christina Milian:
“She has a lot of stuff going on in the movie world and actually on TV. Somebody just gave her a lot of bread, and you don’t make enough money in the radio and R&B world, you know when it gets to that particular point. Somebody show up in her house with 10 million [dollars], and then you got a blog full of haters that’s trying to make sure that your shit don’t come out, it’s like what you gon’ do? Let me see, Paramount Pictures wants to give me 10 million, or I got to try to beat my head in the ground to prove something to the ni&&as that are going to give me five dollars. You gon’ take that $10 million and ride out. ‘Cause I need a new Phantom, so I want her to take that 10 million.”

Ginuwine Was Suicidal

Elgin Lumpkin, better known as Ginuwine, revealed recently in Essence.com he went on a suicidal drug and alcohol-fueled binge after his father's suicide and the death of his mother.

"I really didn't want to be here anymore, I didn't want to live and tried to commit suicide more than once...I was done mentally and emotionally...I was depressed and felt like I had nobody to talk to that could relate to me. I had to ask myself whether or not I wanted to go out like my dad and have my kids hurt the way I was hurting. I've been clean for about seven years."

NFL Commissioner Yanks Dante Stallworth's Leash

Dante Stallworth may have gotten a slap on the wrist for his guilty plea in his DUI manslaughter case, but the NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell, stood up and said 'not so fast'.

"The conduct reflected in your guilty plea resulted in the tragic loss of life
and was inexcusable," NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a letter to
Stallworth. "While the criminal justice system has determined the legal
consequences of this incident, it is my responsibility as NFL commissioner to
determine appropriate league discipline for your actions, which have caused
irreparable harm to the victim and his family, your club, your fellow players
and the NFL," Goodell said.

Goodell suspended Stallworth indefinitely without pay.

Is Will Smith murking careers like Papa Shady?

Janet Hubert, who played the original Aunt Viv on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, criticizes Will Smith's business practices in her new book Perfection Is Not A Sitcom Mom. According to Hubert, Will didn't want anyone to shine on the show but him and actively maneuvered to keep other actors from getting paid or featured ont he show.

"Smith had people around him who made sure no one outshone him. I was happy to see Don Cheadle become the quality actor that he is, and often wondered how he made it past one episode, as Hilary's boyfriend, being such a fierce actor. No one could be on 'The Tonight Show,' that first season, except Will. And I mean no one."

To be fair, let's let Will defend himself. He has previously addressed Hubert's statements claiming she was a bitter diva who wanted to hog the spotlight for herself

"I can say straight up that Janet Hubert wanted the show to be 'The Aunt Viv of Bel-Air Show" because I know she is going to dog me in the press ... She has basically gone from a quarter of a million dollars a year to nothing. She's mad now but she's been mad all along. She said once, 'I've been in the business for 10 years and this snotty-nosed punk comes along and gets a show.' No matter what, to her I'm just the Anti-Christ."
