The Rap Battle Chick Explains Herself
You've probably seen the footage of the chick in the rap battle who decks the guy who made mention of an (may or may not be hypothetical) abortion. Well, she explains herself on her blog.
"We seriously have a sick, dysfunctional, high school relationship. But… It is what it is. Like I said earlier: I DID NOT MEAN TO DECK HIM. I was holding it back but the more I thought about what he said the more I wanted to hit him. Sorry Grandma. I felt justified, but the more I think about it now, it is an unfair situation for him: I’m a female so he can’t hit me back with out a bunch of ppl talkn crap, and he still gets talked about if he doesn’t hit me. We ALL know that if a woman feels she’s man enough to hit a man, she’s probably man enough to take a punch. I’m not sayin thats right either
Matter of fact, let’s say this:
Even tho it was a “rap battle” and that’s the only reason he was going so hard…I would do it again in a heart beat. Somebody’s gotta shut the kid up sometime!!! But I got love for him tho."

LeBron James dropped a 23-foot, 3-point buzzer beater over Orlando’s Hedo Turkoglu as the final horn sounded Friday night to give the Cavaliers a 96-95 victory over the Magic that evened the Eastern Conference finals at one game apiece.

I told y'all he had no intention of going to jail
Grammy Award Winning rapper, T.I. has requested a delay in his entry into federal prison. Harris petitioned a court yesterday to allow him to remain free while he seeks a safer minimum-security facility closer to his Georgia home. T.I. is scheduled to report to federal prison in Forrest City, Arkansas by noon Tuesday. (Weren't they nice to let him have Memorial Day with his family?) He is required to serve 366 days and pay a fine of $100,000 for attempting to buy machine guns and silencers as a convicted felon.

Natalie Cole's Sister Dies
Natalie Cole was in the hospital comforting her dying sister when she got the call about an available kidney. Several hours after receiving her life-saving transplant, her older sister, Carol "Cookie" Cole died of lung cancer. She had only been diagnosed last week.
Natalie's younger sister spoke with The New York Post's Page Six, "This is all so surreal, and it is devastating," said Natalie's younger sister, Timolin.
"Our sister Cookie hadn't been to a doctor in 30 years, and last week she went in and they found a cancerous spot on her lung. They had wanted to start chemo right away, but Cookie said no."
Natalie didn't want to leave Cookie's bedside but Timolin persuaded her to go accept the transplant surgery insisting "Natalie, this is God's gift, and you've got to go now. Cookie would want this for you."
50 + 63 = desperate to revive my career
50 Cent has been spending time with his "special friend" (that's my new favorite phrase) Bette Midler. Midler, the 63-year-old star of such hits as Beaches, Ruthless People, Outrageous Fortune, The Rose, and the Who's rock opera Tommy (Tina Turner also starred in that one), seems to be enamored of 50. Speaking of 50's help with her New York public garden, "he is one of the newest members of our tribe. He has really made my life worth living. 50 has been with me through thick and thin."
The 33-year-old 50 Cent said he thinks a collaboration with The Divine Miss M would be "hot". "Look how beautiful things are and how nice it feels when I'm around her.
Midler, who has been married for over 25 years, continued her membership in the mutual admiration society by saying, "he is such a gorgeous star --holy cow!"

Jay Mohr Insults the First Lady
"Comedian" Jay Mohr insulted the First Lady Michelle Obama a few days ago. That "comedian" part is debatable. He never was funny. Skip to 1:54 if you're impatient.
"Michelle Obama—that is a big dude. When Barack plays pick up games at the White House, you know he picks Michelle as his forward, maybe his (center) depending on who’s in Congress that day.”
“That has to be like being married to Elton Brand. She is a big dude.”

La La Has Regrets
Carmelo Anthony's fiancee and babymama, La La Vasquez, caused a stir during last week's Denver Nuggets game against the Dallas Mavericks when she was ejected for fighting and arguing with fans around her. La La maintains she and her son were targeted with racial slurs and she was simply defending herself.
Well, La La now says her fight was a "stupid" mess.
