ReplyDeleteHer and Mike Epps had a falling out, and that is why there is all this animosity. The other people behind this film are Adam Sandler and Chris Rock. They are executive producers, along with Pryor's wife. Sandler's production company Happy Madison is producing it and there's talk that Adam Sandler maybe cast as Pryors manager in the film. It appears to be big money behind this project and I doubt they want it to fail.
ReplyDeleteThere's so much negativity about Marlon Wayans playing RP, but he did a 13 min screen test where he transformed himself into Pryor and blew everyone away.
The movie is not just about Pryors comedy, but will delve deeply into his addiction and the demons that plagued his life. They needed an actor that could portray that well and Marlon played an addict in the movie "requiem for a dream" and has dramatic chops. People don't know that he studied film and arts @ howard university and went to Fame High school. He chose to follow in his brothers footsteps, b/c they found a niche that was popular & made money....but Marlon had the potential to do much more. What dramatic role has mike epps done? I think people should give Marlon a chance.
