The View makes another rape misstep
ABC's "Modern Family" star Sophia Vergara visited the women of the View to promote her new show. When asked how her character could possibly have a 18-year-old son, she jokes "I was raped at 13!" The View cast laughed along with her, but this is not funny. You might recall how Whoopi Goldberg stepped in a steaming pile a month or so ago regarding the Roman Polanski extradition when she said "I mean it wasn't rape rape?" Outrageously, the media seems to have forgotten her remarks and let her off the hook. I haven't.

ReplyDeleteactually, if you saw her when she was on chelsea handler, you'll know that that's her humor. i guess its okay to me that she made the joke about herself and not about someone else.
