D. Wade is the new face of Air Jordan

For the 25th anniversary of Air Jordan his airness himself hand picked Dwyane Wade to be the new face and represent the brand in commercials for the iconic shoe line.

Jordan said during the unveiling Wednesday night in Miami: "Sometimes you have to pass the torch. ... He epitomizes what the brand represents, being a player from our home community of Chicago, he has won championships already, his work ethic ... those are all things that I feel like represent the brand. I think we can build a great relationship."

The new shoe will be available on February 13th during NBA All-Star Weekend for $170.

Jordan's son cost UCF the entire adidas contract

Michael Jordan's son played Wednesday night for UCF wearing his father's trademark Air Jordans instead of the adidas shoes stipulated by the schoolwide contract with the company prompting them to take drastic measures: adidas will not renew the university's contract when it expires next June. “The University of Central Florida has chosen not to deliver on their contractual commitment to adidas,” the company said in a statement given to CNBC. “As a result, we have chosen not to continue our relationship with them moving forward.” As of yet, the university has no prospects to replace the lucrative contract which extended to all its athletics. Nike and Jordan have made no comment on the matter. adidas should hit up Rev. Run's fam.

A shoe artist named Sole Junkie has hand made a one-of-a-kind pair of X-box themed sneakers that retail for $2,500.

According to Sole Junkie's eBAY auction: "These are an exclusive pair...only one of its kind. Patent leather back with embedded fiber optic wiring in the shape of the XBOX logo. Battery placement is in the tongue as well as on and off switch that has 2 settings: Strobe or Constant light functions. Gradient lime swoosh faded to black. The toe is painted in a surreal Tiger Camouflage with accents of lime and bright green. These are a men's size 11."

Sole Junkie has designed other sneakers incorporation diamonds and 22-carat gold that went for much more than these.
