Gabrielle Union was raped

Gabrielle Union recently opened up to the Global Grind community about a tragic incident from her youth: “When I was 19 years old, I was raped. I was working at a shoe store in California, and the store was robbed. The person robbing the store ended up putting a gun to my head and raping me. As he was raping me, I felt as though I was floating over myself, thinking, ‘This isn’t happening.’ I blanked out and had an out-of-body experience, like I was hovering above seeing this horrible thing happen to someone else…not me. I was fortunate enough to go the UCLA rape crisis center after this horrific ordeal. It gave me my life back. My dignity and self-esteem were gone and they helped me find them again. That’s why I now lobby for state legislatures across the country and the federal government to help raise funds and awareness for rape crisis centers, and I speak to all different kinds of people across the country about what happened to me. My goal is to never hear the words ‘me too’ from someone after I say ‘I was raped.”

Gabrielle Union Joins Cast of FlashForward

Gabrielle Union joins the cast of ABC's new fall drama,"FlashForward". She plays the character Zoey, a criminal defense attorney who will have a romantic arc (probably with someone else's husband) on the show. "FlashForward" premieres Thursday, September 24 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
"We're thrilled that Gabrielle is joining our cast," said executive producer David S. Goyer. "When we met with her, we immediately knew she was our Zoey. She's witty, soulful and beautiful. I've been wanting to work with her for a long time."
What would you do if you were given a glimpse of the future? Would you accept what you saw and live life to its fullest, or would you do everything in your power to change your destiny? Then you would already know this show will be cancelled by October. In "FlashForward," when the world's population is given a glimpse of their future, it forces everyone to come to grips with whether their destinies can be fulfilled or avoided.
"FlashForward" stars Joseph Fiennes as Mark Benford, John Cho as Demetri Noh, Jack Davenport as Lloyd Simcoe, Zachary Knighton as Bryce Varley, Peyton List as Nicole, Dominic Monaghan as Simon, Bran F. O'Byrne as Aaron Stark, Courtney B. Vance as Stan Wedeck, Sonya Walger as Olivia Benford and Christine Woods as Janis Hawk.

Gabby and Dwayne seen together

Every blogger's favorite actress, Gabrielle Union, and married baller Dwayne Wade were seen together this past weekend at Alonzo Mourning's charity gala for his Zo's Summer Groove fundraiser. You might remember Gabby is suing another well-known blog for defamation of character in connection with posts insinuating she dates married men.

Gabrielle Union Is Going After Blogs

According to Jawn Murry, Gabrielle Union is upset over a letter published on Bossip and wants it taken down. Some time back, Bossip published a letter from a "nameless pro-athlete's wife" claiming Gabby has adulterous ways. Gabby has lawyered up and is demanding Bossip take down the post, print a retraction statement, and formally apologize.
Now I think anything printed without a name should be taken with a grain of salt. The reader has to decide whether or not to read it. Most big stars get used to lies printed about them in the tabloids. That's how you know you're relevant. On the other hand, if so many people keep saying the same thing about you for so long...Methinks the lady doth protest too much here.
