Critics are up in arms about a new David LaChappelle photo of Kanye West and Lady Gaga. LaChappelle, an avant-garde photographer best-known for his color-saturated images of celebrities in whimisical situations, shot the duo for the cover of the Fame Monster album. Critics say the photo is racist and depicts a sweating savage African almost sullying the pure white damsel in distress moments after he has plucked her off her pedestal. Some even go so far as to say the photo is reminiscent of images of King Kong and Fay Wray.
Personally, I just wanna know:
1. Why is Gaga naked?
2. Why did they chop off her backside with photoshop?
3.Why isn't SHE sweating?
4. Whose abs those are on Kanye ('cause they sure ain't his)?
AND
5. Where has Amber Rose been hiding? Normally, she would have taken something like this and run with it. Hmmmmmm......
Gaga is naked because that's the only way she thinks she can get attention.

ReplyDeleteThat volcano erupting is definitely a phallic symbol and simulating an orgasm. Then you have the black mandingo carrying his white prize, all naked like a baby to signify her innocence. This ad is all kinda wrong! F-in disturbing.
