Empowerment Experiment



Maggie and John Anderson of Chicago vow to only patronize black-owned businesses for one year. Now, the Andersons are following up with thousands who signed up for the experiment on their Web site to network, gauge their commitment and set up online accounts to track their spending. Hundreds have also joined the experiment's Facebook page, Maggie Anderson said. Could you make this pledge?

    I think this is a great idea, but what do they suggest you do if you have to buy a car or use a cell phone, internet, or cable plan? I need to check out their website.
