Wow! Bey doesn't sound humble at all

Beyonce addressed the Kanye VMA outburst while accepting her Billboard Woman of the Year award:

I knew his intentions and I knew he was standing up for art. He told me before when they said the nominees, “You have this award.” And when they didn’t call my name, he was like…completely shocked. And when he walked on the stage, I’m like “No, no,” and he spoke and I’m like “Oh no, no, no no.” But in the end, it ended up being a great night And Taylor Swift did get her moment. And…I didn’t have to make an acceptance speech.

So, let me get this straight. By speaking up for you Kanye was "standing up for art." Let's have a look shall we:

1. Bills, Bills, Bills

2. Upgrade U

3. Freakum Dress

4. Kitty Kat

5. Ring the Alarm

and, of course,

6. Single Ladies

I could name so many more. I understand your artistic vision now...

Timeline of Kanye's Public Explosions

Skip to the 0:42 mark to see rare video of Kanye as a child

I love how everyone is shocked about Kanye's behavior last night. These people must not have been paying attention to him all these years. Remember when he said George Bush doesn't care about black people right after Hurricane Katrina? Or what about his CAPS LOCK rambling blog posts where he rips into everyone who refuses to let him be great.

In 2004 Kanye walked out of the American Music Awards when he lost out on the Best New Artist award to country singer Gretchen Wilson. He was quoted as saying "I felt like I was definitely robbed, and I refused to give any politically correct bullsh--ass comment ... I was the best new artist this year." Kanye alluded to an anti-Kanye conspiracy and vowed never to return to the AMAs.

In early 2005 Kanye staged his own death and resurrection during his performance at the Grammys to protest the media attention towards him prior to the show. He felt it was unwarranted to put him under a microscope waiting for him to explode, so he donned angel wings to show his innocence. (I know, I know.) A week before the ceremony he told MTV he would have "a real problem" if he didn't win Album of the Year for Late Registration. He said he thought voters would not choose him because he was so outspoken about George Bush's handling of the Hurricane Katrina disaster. Kanye criticized hip hop magazines Vibe and the Source for not considering his album a classic. During the interview he also compared himself to Tom Cruise (come again?) and justified his tantrums because he spent over $600,000 of his own money on the album. Since he won that year for Best Rap Album, instead of a rant he said, "A lot of people were wondering what I was going to do if I didn't win anything ... I guess we'll never know."

In 2006 'Ye stormed the stage during another act's acceptance speech when his video "Touch the Sky" lost out to theirs at the MTV European Music Awards because his video "cost a million dollars and Pamela Anderson was in it." Kanye later admitted to drinking before the tirade. (Are we seeing a trend here?)

Kanye was reportedly guzzling Hennessey (people still drink that?) straight from the bottle last night before the show. Yeezy's behavior started long before his mother Donda's untimely death. How much do you want to bet he was one of those children who threw loud public tantrums to get his way?

Kanye explains the details of his businesss arrangement with Amber

Kanye considers his relationships to be a contractual business arrangement. He told the French magazine Liberation, “Real rock stars, he said one day, get married and have rock stars babies...Of course women are attracted by celebrity, money, the illusion of 'love me for who I am' is stupid/an idiocy, we are no longer in college, I am fcuking Kanye West."

Fucking Kanye West he is. The same divo who reportedly declared after Michael Jackson's passing:

"You know everyone loves and respects Michael but times change. It's so sad to see Michael gone but it makes a path for a new King of Pop and I'm willing to take that on," he told Scrape TV. "There's nobody who can match me in sales and in respect so it only makes sense for me to take over Michael's crown and become the new King." He concluded, "First there was Elvis, then there was Michael, now in the 21st century it's Kanye's time to rule. I have nothing but respect for Michael but someone needs to pick up where he left off and there's nobody better than me to do that. I am the new King of Pop."

Kanye later denied making the statements after a huge internet backlash arose after his remarks circulated for a few weeks. However, the title has resurfaced as a caption on his cover shot for--you guessed it--Liberation magazine. Since Kanye is such a might rock star you know his people had final approval over his feature. Evidently Kanye really does believe he can step up to the throne. Just which throne he really belongs on is debatable...

"The Greatest R&B Singer of Our Generation"

Drake crowned Trey Songz "The Greatest R & B Singer of Our Generation" in his intro at the Canal Room in NYC on Sunday. They should have rolled Drake's injured behind to the stage in a wheelchair like when he was on Degrassi Jr. High. I got a feeling a twitt-traction is on the way....

If Omarion was let go from Cash Money for leaking a track, should Drake get static for leaving Cash Money's tour with an injured ACL then show up at someone else's (his alleged boyfriend's) concert?!

Rumor has it Lauren London does not really know who the daddy is

Rumors and speculations have been flying around the blogosphere about the true identity of Lauren London's real baby daddy. Maino protegy Push Montana is the latest candidate in the Maury-like guessing game among fans and haters alike. As you know by now, Lauren took to her Twitter over the weekend to state that yes, she knows without doubt Lil' Wayne is the father of the baby. She seemed proud about it, too, but that is fodder for another post. Hmmpf!

Kanye Airs You Haters Out

Kanye is tired of defending himself against all the false rumors circulating on the net. He claims he never made those statements about wanting to be the new King of Pop and taking over Michael's throne and he's offended you would believe any statement from him that isn't rambling, narcissistic, and written in all CAPS. Really you people, why won't you let him be great?

“NOT ONLY DID I NOT SAY THAT, I HAVEN’T SAID ANYTHING WORTH LISTENING TO IN A WHILE. IT MAKES ME FEEL BAD THAT OBVIOUSLY I MADE PEOPLE FEEL THAT I WOULD BE CORNY ENOUGH TO SAY SOMETHING SO WHACK OUTSIDE OF ONE OF MY ALBUMS OR MY RANTS ON MY OWN BLOG AFTER THE PASSING OF AN IDOL, A LEGEND AND MORE THAN THAT A HUMAN BEING WITH FEELINGS AND FAMILY. IT SCARES ME TO THINK WHAT PEOPLE WILL BELIEVE, WITHOUT EVEN A SOURCE LIKE THE FACT THAT AMBER AND I ARE REALLY DATING EXCLUSIVELY. ANY RANDOM PERSON CAN TYPE SOMETHING ON THE INTERNET AND THEN THE WORLD BELIEVES IT. I DON’T TALK TO PRESS OR DO TV OR DO PROMOTIONS OF ANY SORT EXCEPT FOR MY REGULAR AND FREQUENT INTERVIEWS IN MAGAZINES AND ON TELEVISION SHOWS--BUY MY ALBUM!. I’VE STOPPED CHASING AND BUYING INTO FAME (YOU REALLY BELIEVED THAT FOR A SPLIT SECOND, DIDN'T YOU?)FAME WHORING LIKE I DO IS LIKE CIGARETTES WITH NO SURGEON GENERAL WARNING. IT DESTROYS MOST PEOPLE AS IT DID TO THE TRUE AND ONLY KING OF POP. WE EXPLOIT OURSELVES AND EAT OUR OWN EGOS ‘TILL THERE IS NOTHING LEFT. ONLY MY EGO IS SO MASSIVE I'LL NEVER GO HUNGRY. BUY MY ALBUM! I HAVE A FEELING THAT THIS WON’T BE THE LAST FALSE STATEMENT WITH MY NAME ON IT, BUT THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME I DEFEND MYSELF. I’M DONE. YOU KNOW, UNTIL TONIGHT WHEN I GO SOMEWHERE ELSE WITH AMBER ROSE HALF DRESSED AND CALL THE PAPARAZZI TO MEET US THERE.

Ne-Yo says he's all man--and big boys do cry

Ne-Yo took to his Global Grind blog to explain his meltdown in Manchester on Saturday night.

I'm currently on tour in the UK. This tour began right after a 4 month stint in
Prague shooting a world war 2 movie. We're in a different city in a different
part of the UK every night, moving non stop. Since my first album, roughly 5
years ago, I've taken 1 vacation, and even that was about 2 years ago.Basically,
I have an issue with not knowing when to say enough is enough, so last night in
Manchester, my body said it for me.I got on stage energized and ready to go,
even tho for the last 5 days I've been dealing with a sinus infection. I paid it
no real mind, and kept on going, like I always do. My voice couldn't take it.
From the first song I knew something was wrong. I shoulda stopped there, but I
come from a school where no matter what, the show must go on. It wasn't until
about 4 songs in that I came to the painful realization that my voice was done,
literally nothing left, and that I would have to stop the show. Now let me
explain something to you:When I say this music, that stage, my fans, THIS is my
life, I'm not saying it cause it sounds good in a sound bite. THIS IS MY LIFE!!
Not much else matters to me, honestly. My music, my family and the people that
appreciate my music.....the fans. THAT'S ABOUT IT!!I've never had to stop a
show, never dreamed I'd ever have to. So when I had to walk out on that stage
and tell 12,000 of the people responsible for making me who I am that I could
not perform for them, it literally broke my heart.I cried harder than I have in
a very long time with no shame whatsoever. To anyone out there that would like to
question my manhood because of this I'll say this to you:If the one thing you
cared about more than anything else in the world was threatened or even taken
from you, if you knew that the people you cared for the most you had to
disappoint and it was your fault... and this didn't spark some kind of emotional
outbreak within you...then with no shame I'll say you are truly a stronger man
than I.To the people of Manchester, know that I love you and I thank you for
being so understanding and supportive. And I promise you that you will receive
the show deserved. Thanks to the fans for the love and concern. And to the
bloggers....go to hell.Sincerely, Ne*Yo!!

Let me just say I LOVE his closing shot at bloggers. That's the way to get good press over this! For those who lack the patience to read his long winded post, here is the condensed version: "I was tired. I had a fight with my boo that day. I wanted my mommy. I sounded like shit on stage and I knew it so, I bawled like a baby. Fuck you! Buy my album!"

Kanye knows no bounds

Now that he's--ahem--"mastered" music and fashion, Kanye is ready to broaden his horizons to the sports world. He has reportedly tapped Wimbeldon champ, Serena Williams, to give him some tennis pointers.

Kanye Urges Kids to Stay in School

Kanye West had a chat with Essence Magazine about his ridiculously expensive sneaker line charitable efforts to keep students in high school, hawking for LV his own philosophy on education, and his infamous ego.

I'm about making your own choices but giving inspiration. I went to college for a year and half and I didn't graduate. If I got a bachelor's degree or went to school for another eight years, would that mean I finished? At what point are you really done finishing your education? I believe that anything that you have to pay for is a choice, and high school is mandatory to gain some basic skills. Therefore, it's easy for me to build a foundation that encourages young people to stay in high school...When people can't understand someone who might be presenting new ideas and thoughts because it sounds too different from what they are used to, they see me as an egomaniac, rather than viewing it as a difference of opinion or way of thinking...I'm not more humble but more gracious. If you look up the definitions of the word humble, it's all negative connotations, like one should bow down. I can only be fully me...

Fat Joe Calls Himself A Legend

Fat Joe recently complained that people just won’t let him be great, “The realest way to say it is I’m still hungry,” Joe said in a recent interview. “And the fact that you write and live and sleep and drink hip hop all day, it ain’t ’til you’re doing a Fat Joe story that you really start thinking about, ‘Damn, this ni&&a been here for so long. He’s so consistent.’ I’m trying to erase that. Like I’m trying to make it more than obvious to the whole world that ‘Yo, this guy deserves to be a living legend of the game. An icon. Damn, he brought too much to the table.’ That’s what drives me and makes me hungrier…I think Busta Rhymes is probably the only one [with a 14 to 15 year catalog like me]. Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, Fat Joe.”
