How does an actor/director with no other credits except being in his own movies and zero nominations (he did make a cameo in this spring's Star Trek) get an invite to become a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Art & Sciences? One reason is the best picture category nominees was expanded from five to ten films. Viola Davis and Taraji P. who have been in TP productions have also been invited.
