Chicago Bears defensive end Gaines Adams is dead at the age of 26. The Greenville News reports that Adams was pronounced dead at a Greenwood County, South Carolina hospital after apparently suffering a heart attack in his sleep due to an enlarged heart. Gaines is the second NFL player to die in a month's time after Chris Henry died December 17th; Henry suffered massive head trauma after falling from a moving pick up truck.
